New too this - Glad im finally doing something

Postby stewartclark19905586 » Sat May 11, 2024 12:48 am

I was going out with a girl when i was 19 and i couldn't get it up one night. So i used Kamagra(fake viagra) since then ive not been able to get a proper erection 33 year old now.

Even when i do get aroused it only goes 60/70% capacity and it goes down quickly. Its caused me a lot of trauma, years of suffering in silence (I've had addiction problems which i think are linked-ive never been the same person since i took that pill) ive been 6 months clean and sober since. This the one issue which i have not addressed for soo long now i am and i Went to a urologist who prescribed me x2 ED medications -avanafil/tadalafil (so far its not doing much but ive not taken them both together yet. do i need to do this? . if that dosent work then its injections

Is there any hope?

Yes - there's hope!! The treatment options for ED, no matter it's cause, are constantly improving. From oral to topical to injectable meds, pumps and rings, implants of different kinds, behavioral health counseling, sex surrogates. And don't underestimate the amazing power of, and your need for, an understanding, supportive partner. You have a part also - your honesty with the health care providers helps ensure the best care. That means 'the truth - the whole truth' about your experiences - good and not so good. And be your own advocate - study ED, ask questions - clarify / challenge instructions / recommendations that you don't understand or 'just don't make sense' for you.
At 33 y/o your Doc is doing the diagnostics - what works / what doesn't / how much. They're also building a case to give you a better understanding of yourself and more options down the road with insurance coverage.
Stay the course...

Yes, there is an answer, although it might take some trials. Keep seeing the urologist, let them know what works and what doesn't. Keep in mind they have heard it all so don't be shy about telling them what you dick is doing or not doing.
Best of luck. Keep moving forward.

My son has been sober for a year and a half, his libido has picked up tremendously about 8 months in and he has lost 65LB. So it may take a bit more time or weight loss. And of course you have received a huge amount of good info from Steve.
I will say that Trimix has saved my sex life.

Yes there is Hope. Steve gave you a great answer. Probably one of the biggest was your finding FrankTalk. Us guys while not Drs are in similar boats and willing to talk. FT saved me for sure.
