OK, first follow-up. Pre zaps PSA was 0.3. New one month PSA is 0.06. Oncologist said that was a very good number and expects it to be lower at my next follow-up at 6 months at which time I'll hopefully be released from his care. He said the PSA indicates we zapped the right spot.

So I'm happy! Plus there doesn't appear to be any worse nerve damage, not that there were many functioning nerves left to damage.

New PSA is .04. The one before that was .05 and the Oncologist seemed satisfied. Hopefully it will get to .00 as in undetectable. Had a little scare as the .04 was a retest. The test originally came back as "less than .1". I found out someone requested the wrong PSA test. If they do the full spectrum they (Quest) do a less precise total PSA. To get the more precise results they have to ask for "Total PSA Only". So they drew more blood and resubmitted and got the .04 result. I'm hoping for a .03 next time.

As a side note, I asked him what the rate is for guys who get RPs that get natural erectile function back. He said about 70%. I told him I doubted that. He then pulled up my original surgeon's notes and read them to me. It appears that while I was supposed to have nerve sparing they found the cancer so invasive that they would have had to take both sides. So there was no nerve sparing. The original doctor never explained that. I still doubt the 70%.
