Mack truck collision every morning
Every morning i wake up in a place darker then hell. The ED completely destroys me mentally. I really can't help being consumed by it leading to heavy suicidal thoughts. It's very difficult for me to shake this feeling. I'm 35 and it started at 30. The minute i leave my apartment i feel like half a man, and this effects everything i do. Finding satisfaction in things i used to love is a rare occasion. I carry ED on my shoulders everywhere i go. To be honest I don't really wanna live this life. I've seen enough. The only hope i have is a cure down the road with some regenerative therapy but if I'm completely honest with myself, that seems like wishful thinking. I don't know what to do with myself anymore.

What treatments have you tried? Have you considered an implant?
Diagnosed with prostate cancer (genetically predisposed) at 52. Aggressive and required immediate intervention. Robot assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) in December 2021. Erectile function never returned. Penile implant (AMS 700) in March 2024.

I have thought of an implant but I'm not a great candidate for it. I have soft glans syndrome and an implant won't address that. So i'll be spending 30k for half a solution. At the moment I'm pursuing vacuum constriction device. The stuff is on it's way... I have an appointment with Dr Clavell soon to ask away with a page full of questions. My biggest hope is a cure down the road but i really don't know how realistic that is. If i didn't have soft glans the implant would be more suitable but i was thrown a curve ball...

Disclaimer: neither I nor the great guys who frequent Franktalk are psychiatrists, psychologists, or trained counselors. If you’re having thoughts about self-harm or ongoing depression PLEASE use the suicide hotline at 988 or seek professional help.
I’ve been where you are. And at 35, you are at a crossroads where you make the decision. You let the erection problems define you or you choose to define yourself.
There are far too many effective tools in the ED toolbox to give up. It wasn’t that way when I got diagnosed in 1987 at age 31.
ED is a hell of a lot more conquerable than cancer or even a common cold. Retreating into a shell of depression isn’t a solution, though. You have to fight it.
You start the fight by finding a doctor who deals with men’s sexual health issues. Get a consult. They may do some tests. Most guys get relief with oral meds. Some end up with injections. Most never have to get implanted. But if nothing else works I am living proof that an implant will give you an erection that not only is suitable for sex, it’s ideal for sex. It’s the best erection imaginable. Looks totally natural, nobody can tell, plus you have a much bigger flaccid dick that will intimidate other guys in the locker room or someone peeking at you at a urinal.
I hate to use cliches but even the longest journey begins with the first step. Call a doctor: someone for some counseling so you can enjoy those erections and someone who can put you on the path to achieving them. Whether it’s therapy, pills, shots, or an implant you can beat this.
Having ED does not reflect on your masculinity or manliness any more than being nearsighted or needing a hearing aid.

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.

Just read your second batch of comments.
Soft glans eh? So you’ve got something going on with your circulatory system.
A piece of advice. Sometimes a word to the wise is sufficient.
Fix what they can fix now. If that’s an implant, you have a hard-as-nails cock with a soft head. You’ll still enjoy it. Your partner will still enjoy it.
Neither sex nor life are about having everything perfect. They’re about pleasure, good feelings, and enjoying yourself.
A big stiff cock with a softish head is not going to diminish anything.
I’m 68. Realistically and God willing I have about 25 years left. I plan to enjoy myself as much as I possibly can. Life is far too short as it is. Don’t waste time by agonizing about insignificant shit. Jump in to pool, get wet, and have as much fun as you can while you can.

Good advice from Txagq8. I'll just add that you find an ED urologist by contacting the largest urology practice convenient to you and asking for the mens' sexual health specialist. If there are more than six or eight urologists, there will probably be an ED specialist. (Many urologists are not interested in our ED problems since there is often a psychological component.)
Do what Txagq8 says NOW and keep us posted!

Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.

As mentioned, a urologist should be guiding you through the steps of progression. As my diabetic induced ED progressed, I started with Viagra, working my way up from 25 mgs up to 100 mgs. When Viagra stopped being effective, I moved on to Trimix injections working my way up from 25 units to 70 units. When injections became ineffective, I moved onto a medical grade VED with an Osbon constriction band and then moving up from standard tension to high tension and eventually two bands which has been my go to procedure for the past five years.

Thanks for the post. I've been researching VED with a band quite a bit. Can you use it every day? Do you get a cold blue penis? Does that go away when you take the band off? Is there long term damage from use? How does your woman feel about the cold blue penis? Are you using the sleeve? THANKS AGAIN.

Read the last post about soft glans in implants section. Tri Mix Gell will solve blood flow problems to the glans and shaft after you are implanted. have listed there my formula and results. Costs about $15 an erection but helps build a beautiful dick. Secondchance,,, Have you tried TriMix injectable? Hell soft glans post is entered by second chance.
