i started using ozempic in june and have lost almost 20 pounds so far.
i included a quote from budward from another thread so instead of replying to it and it being buried in a general weight loss thread i thought i would start a new thread for comments/reviews/thoughts on ozempic
thanks

Like you, I became overweight, mostly through not working out and drinking too much alcohol. The pandemic really helped me pack on the pounds. Pills stopped working about 8 years ago and had stopped my Androgel regime. Big mistake, but my supplier was in the Caribbean and he stopped selling.
Fast forward to September of 23 and started on Ozempic. I stopped drinking but didnt change anything else. I lost 35lb in 3 months.
I am still losing weight and have been able to get into some old Robert Graham shirts that were to small for me. Now they hang lose.
Now I am finding out more and more benefits of being on Ozempic, much lower stroke rates, less heart disease, fights against Alzheimers and other things. I love the stuff.
Also started back on Androgel at the same time I started the O.

I have been taking it for about 9 months. I got down to my goal weight in 3 months and I stay on it for maintenance. It's too important that I not balloon back up. My Rx is for 1mg, but I click-count to actually dispense. 8mg, this giving me five weeks from a 4mg pen.

i pay $300 canadian for the 4mg pen as its not covered by ohip so getting more time from the pen would save a lot over a year.
when i get down to my target weight i will try that and see if a lower dose will be enough for maintenance
thanks

I pay $240 in BC. However I am going to start back at the Peptide sites where you can reconstitute the semaglutide yourself at a fraction of the cost. https://www.blueskypeptide.com is a company a friend of mine in Vegas swears by.

Re: ozempic users
I have found that Ozempic is far more useful than just controlling blood sugar For me, it completely eliminated my craving for sugar, It forced me to lower portion sizes. You just cannot eat as much food. Due to not being able to tolerate much sugar, I can no longer drink a margarita, which was always my favorite alcohol beverage. I actually have no craving for alcohol anymore and when I do, I just mix bourbon and club soda And I could care less, whether I drink it or not sometimes just that situation You need to order something for the group I can see how it may curb desires for smoking and gambling, and any other malady you have that creates desire I have wondered if it’s responsible for my decreased obsession with having an orgasm - anyoneelse felt that way

Re: ozempic users
Although it is responsible for my moderate weight loss, I don't see any other effect on lowering my desire for either food or sex.

I've been on it a year now and I am hornier than ever. Knowing I can get rock hard erections helps!
