Testosterone Injections

Guys,
Does any of you have experience with Testosterone injections?
I started last Sunday, giving myself a shot in the thigh, did another one yesterday, both were painful.

I’ve been on Trimix for a couple of months now and have very little pain doing those.

Just wondering if I’m doing something wrong.

I have done the injections, best in your butt glut, big muscle, also the needle on the injection is much larger than the Trimix needles.
Personally I prefer the Androgel in gel form. I like to rub it on and you get more of a horny buzz from the gel. IMHO

I have been on TRTfor over a year. When I first started the injections the clinic had me doing them in the the thigh muscle and it hurt for a few days afterwards. Then they said I could injections into the belly fat close to the navel. Problem solved. Try pinching the belly fat and injecting slowly with the other had It works great.

The gel has worked fine for me too, for many years, and it's a lot less trouble than injecting: two seconds and I'm done. I get a compounded gel from a compounding pharmacy for a fraction of the Androgel cost. Currently it's $30 for six weeks. It's a lot cheaper because they buy the ingredients by the barrel and they don't have the staff of thousands that drug companies have.

I have been doing the TRT injections for a couple of years now. Only every two weeks -- and I often stretch it out a few days more. My wife does the deed into my butt cheeks. Nearly painless. But, yes, the stuff is thick and the needle is big. I gave myself TriMix shots for a few years, but not sure I could administer the test shots.

So why are you giving yourself injections every week?

The gel was easy to apply, but it had to be done every day or night. And my insurance would only pay for the shots, not the gel. Now on Medicare. Does Medicare cover the gel? I am paying $19 for 2 doses of injections, roughly each month.

Any Canadians dealing with a compounding pharmacy for Androgel? Cost is 174 per month here and with my Ozempic I am paying out over 400 a month. Want to get these costs down.

Google "Compounding pharmacy near me."

But the pharmacies simply call it "testosterone gel." "Androgel" is the drug company's trademark.

I inject 1ml every two weeks and do it in my thighs. I make sure to grab some skin and pinch it, then inject. sometimes I have a bit of pain, sometimes not.
