I am almost three years from prostectomey for cancer. So far everything looks great. As far as erections go I use the "pump" since injections just hurt too much and viagra helps somewhat. The question I have do other members look at porn to stimulate the nerves as to having a "normal erection"? I feel that it would help me but I feel that it is not the right thing to do. I have looked at some, can feel some "sensations" like the " ole days" but then I feel guilty about it then stop looking before I can see if it would even get to the stage that I could try to masturbate . I know it is an individual preference but how do others balance looking at porn and maybe dealing with the feeling is this the right thing do do to assist along the way to at least try to regain somewhat of a normal erection? I know what the bible says about "lust" but sometimes it seems there is a battle between "lust" and the searching for the "lost erection" I sometimes feel as if my motor is revving 10,000 RPM's but my engine( penis) just won't go onto gear Thanks in advance. I had placed this in members only but then thought this might be the best place for this.

I don't want to turn this into a religious discussion, but I've never figured out why some people believe we are here because of a creator, yet they believe that same creator condemns our natural instincts that he built into us.

I don't make these comments in contempt or ridicule. I was raised in a very religious home and have a lot of respect for people who can follow it -- but I can't. There are way too many questions that have no logical answer -- and "the creator" gave me a very logical, analytical mind.

FTR: I've been looking at naked women -- or pictures of them -- for a half a century and I haven't gone to hell yet (haha, probably getting close though).

In the early stages of my ED, porn was very helpful; however, after a few months, I became desensitized and porn and no longer did much for me.

Thanks for the replies. I know that looking at porn (post prostectomey) it does give me an erection but I then stop short of masturbating to orgasm. I reckon I feel that it isn't right but the urge to have an erection and orgasm takes me to the edge but then I stop(due to feeling guilty). Oh well it's a helluva personal issue. I will just learn to deal with it. Thanks again

Hi Porn can be a great libido lifter, but only do it in short views, never any longer than 20 minutes, never touch your self when watching, do it this way you should be ok
If drugs don't work try the herbal way, it worked for me but have not had you op, mine come from very bad night sweats, these posts are on here.

I'm 5years from surgery, I do get erections from viagra and caverject, I also watch porn. My wife and I have a standing date on Friday night when she gets home. I sit at computer and watch porn for a while before she gets home. I've always watched it a little and don't feel guilty about doing it.

As a fellow follower of Christ, I too feel guilt when I look at porn. I have prayed for strength to avoid looking at it. It is a battle. Praying for you brother! Thank God for the guilt! If you did not belong to Him, you would feel no guilt.
