Hello again guys. Been here on this board since Jan or Feb this year. Age here is 74 I have ED. This is a valuable resource to old farts like me. My wife of 17 years says “why do you go to FT at all. It is just a bunch of strangers that you don't know.” My response has been that there are men who have already traveled the path I find myself on now. They have already experienced the things that keep me up at nights wondering about even now. So far I have done the Viagra,and then the Cialis, even tried experimenting with intrauretheral gel. Thought I had a cure by doubling up the Cialis. I got my Uro Dr. to write a script for a double dose of 20 mgram cialis first few tries of double of Cialis were promising but wife was not able to do PIV due to shoulder surgery. Torn rotor cuff and in a sling since 3 June. Next week marks her two month post operation anniversary. Today we tried the double dose of Cialis and was a failure. I got a chubby semi erect penis but did not get fully erect even with oral stimulation. The intrauretheral gel came in two 1 mL syringes. My Uro DR. Referred me to PharmaLabs for a website in regards to use. First time was like a shot in the dark. I wound up using the 1 mL syringe in about 30 minutes. Around time 30 or 40 I got an erection after using the 1 mL syringe. Again wife unable to do PIV due to shoulder surgery. My second attempt with the gel was about 10 days later but I took to long administering it. About 90 to 120 minutes, thought if I slowed it down it would last longer. It did not.
Those two samples cost me $120.00. Was kind of hard to justify at that price. Is there some where cheaper? My Uro doc has not been much help. Have a teleconf next week. Any help or ideas are welcomed. Now thinking about Trimix shots and a MPP. Not sure an IPP worth the risk at age 74 Thanks HLB52111

Trimix works good for me. Try it you have nothing to lose. 20 units for me works for over an hour.

You can also try a cock ring with your cialis. Pump it up, put the ring you might be surprise that it work.

Tried a VED. All it did was pull up my flacid penis. Think I tried it for 10 to 15 minutes. Again have TBI here and my memory no very good.

I used Trimix for over a decade and it worked well, though I think I lost sensitivity from it over time. If you are in decent shape there is no reason you couldn’t have excellent results with an IPP at 74. Many men much older have had the surgery. Just do whatever seems like it will work for you.

Thanks for your input. Trimix is on my list for discussion. Like I said before, here I suffered a TBI 14 years ago. Result is I walk with a cane and my memory not so good. That is why I keep a daily journal here on my iPad. Really helps me to remember. On list to discuss with Uro doc is a proper in the office demonstration of the intrauretheral bimix gel. Was told to watch a web site for application instructions. If I do go with Trimix again an in the office demo of application. Nervous about sticking a needle in my dick. Maybe get an auto injector. Also transplant will be discussed farther on in time if needed. Again concerned about my age of 74 now. I have dropped 60 pounds since Nov. 25. Just started walking and controlled my diet. My GP doc is thrilled with results and has modified or reduced the meds I’m taking. I know he is thrilled with my A1C level, but I don’t remember the level. My wife has it on her iPhone. Again thank for your input. This is a valuable site for me.

Ten to fifteen minutes is not nearly enough time to learn how to obtain an erection with a VED. It usually takes hours, days or weeks to accomplish this.

About 69% to 93% of men who use a VED properly can get an erection hard enough for sex.

Using a medical quality VED will allow for the use of a tension ring on the tube, to transfer to the penis when it's pumped up.

Cheap commercial VEDs are fine just for pumping, but they usually are not capable of holding tension rings the way the medical ones are.

I am going towards 71. I tried all the options but next month going for a Rigicon infla10 ax . If PIV and intimacy are important to both of you then I have found the implant is the most reliable way to go. But do try the other option first.

If you go for the Trimix there are injectors available that hold the needle, push the button it injects.
An implant is a good option if injections fail.

Hi guys. Take 2 now. iPads computers not my friend. Going to put all my new posts here. Try to get it all consolidated. Just have to ask wife how I send this update. Really sucks to get old. So there I was all setup up at kitchen table for my 0930 scheduled teleconference with Uro doc. Had my notebook with summary of visits, messages and questions and ideas and treatments. I was prepared. 0935 and no phone callp, wife started searching IPhone and found a message that I had been rescheduled to August 18 at 0930. To say I was not happy was an understatement. I was pissed. The message was sent 1 day before the already scheduled teleconference along with a reminder of not to forget , scheduled telephone visit for the already scheduled teleconference visit on today the 29th.. Do they even talk to one another in that office? My wife and I discussed the situation, I was ready to walk away from this Dr. and start searching for a new Uro practice. She recommended that i look for a different Dr. in that practice. I said like the guy who does the actual

Wife just checked on her iPhone, my A1C is 6.1
I’m really struggling to remember here I think that is an ok number. My GP doc is happy with that number. To me it is just a number. My wife and Dr. are happy, so I am happy.
