Things have been great for me lately. Got my T levels up. On injectable The replacement. Due to my health issues I have been very good about making sure I felt good and really wanted to have sex. Because of health and all the medicines I take. I use either 50 or 100th of Viagra. Last night I was extremely tired but it had been a while and we are heading out on a family vacation with kids and grandkids and no privacy. So I said let's go for it. Took my meds..tried to wake up enough for sex. Did okay for a bit..wife got hers but then when it came my time it just burned out. Anyone ever had an episode like this. I struggle with a very low libido. I hate it. Dr. Says my problem is all side effects of the meds I must take fir health issurs. But when this happens ..How do you get it out if your mind and move on and not have the fear that the next time it's gonna flop again. Please all input is appreciated. I refuse to go without a fight. Something has to come along soon that shows great promise for us with this problem. Anyone have any ideas on what can boost libido too. My urologist says that the prescription T is never gonna give me the libido like natural body testosterone. I haven't had a problem like this in over a year. This has really mess ed with my mind. Thank you for your help

Injectable testosterone did boost my libido, but I do worry about possible side effects.
You could also try injectable tri-mix if you are up to that.
I get an occasional flop with tri-mix, but usually do ok the next time.
Right now, Viagra doesn't work well enough to use for me.

Scott,
Taking Viagra at night can be a waste ... if you eat within a few hours of taking it. I took Viagra for 10 yrs. ... so I know the downfalls. Your Doc is right about the side-effects of certain meds. In many cases the side-effects are more powerful than the Viagra can overcome (on a consistent basis). When this occurs, it's time to consider other alternatives (Injections, Implant) ... or go without ...
Google: DHEA ... which may help some. Some guys have better luck with Cialis ... most URO's recommend Cialis 5 mg daily dosage.

Great advice. Thanks...to elaborate a little more. My Doc has offered the 5th Calis daily. My pain Dr high recommend it I have not tried it yet because I was having such great success with the 50 or 100 me Viagra. Most likely one flop is not worth the hassle but us guys with our junk one flop is as lethal to our egos as poison gas !! To our lungs!!. I feel like a human pharmacy as it is, so many medicine's fighting inside of me. And one pill is to counter the side effect of the other. My pain Doc showed me a recent study that proved that 96& of men on long term opioid pain management for chronic pain suffer from Low Testosterone and Hypothyroidism. My pain pump is full of dilaudid and baclofen.. Getting rid of the pump is not an option. There's got to be a happy middle ground somewhere. My Doctor will not even talk injections because of how well things are on the Viagra. Maybe it is time to change things up a bit. All of your inputs is greatly appreciated. You guys all understand. If I thought I stood a chance of getting an implant without hassle and my insurance would pay... I would be knocking down doors

Scott,
Try the daily Cialis and see ... it will eliminate the "when to eat" side-effect of Viagra. I took Cialis for 8 months after my Prostrate surgery ... the only side-effect was a dull muscle pain in my leg.
Keep an eye on your T-levels ... get your blood tested as often as allowed ... make sure to get your results printed out and save them.

Got my T level rechecked. After a year of Androgel using 3 pumps of gel daily my T level was only 245. I am 51 yrs old that level is not even normal for a 70 year old man...so I am on injectable T now 200mg in one ml every 2 weeks. My uro will recheck in 6 months. He said on injectable my level will fluctuate. My level will be higher the first week after injection and will decline steadly until the next injection. Not noticed much difference yet. Not sure what to think.

Ok I have been where you are now. Androgel and other products took my already low testosterone levels and drove them into the basement. I think I got down to 190.
Doc then put me on injectable and it changed my life. It did take about a month to feel the change, and several more months to feel the full effects. Basically it takes a while for your starved tissues to get saturated with Testosterone.
My protocol is 1ml/200mg every week. My doc and I agree that I was a high normal when my testicles were functional.
To handle the issue of fluctuating levels, I divide the dose in half and inject on Mondays and Thursdays. This seems to work great!
Health is rock solid, PSA great, liver numbers great etc.
As far as ED and sudden flops, yeah it happens. Successful erection really does depend quite a bit on psychological factors. I use tri-mix, and if I feel at all rushed or stressed at injection time, then I have flops. On the other hand, if I am totally relaxed then it is super-mega porno boner.

My T was 232 and my internist put me on Androderm patches (which irritated my skin a lot). After a month my level dropped to 130 and my internist prescribed Androgel (4 pumps) and referred me to a uro who is an expert in TRT. After 3 weeks on Androgel my T went from 130 to 412, so the uro said to continue on the Androgel for 3 months and re-check at that time.
At 412 I feel a bit better energy and mood (I'm 71 and my libido is zero due to a stroke). So I'll continue with Androgel and see if I can get some of the improved feeling of well being that so many report.

Re: Anyone ever have things working good and then a sudden flop
Thunderball.. you summed it up exactly like What I was trying to say.. although when they first checked my T levels my T was only 65. After a year o the androgel I made it up to 245. Which is too low extremely low for my age. You are 100 percent correct on the effects of the injectable T. I have begun to notice a difference after the first month. You are also correct I the fact that I can tell its building. Even my wife has mentioned that she has noticed a difference. So this is encouraging. I so thank you for your information. I am hoping for things to get much better. My pain Dr has mentioned about implantable T pellets that release the hormone continuously under the skin...not sure what he is talking about. I will explore that when I have my intrathecal pain pump refilled in November. I have enjoyed having morning wood again and those other unexpected reactions. I too agree with you about injecting a lower dose more often. It makes sense to me. All my other blood work is normal except I have a low thyroid too. This is the forum for any answers a man needs regarding their equipment.
Thank you
