Trental/Pentox

Postby qcswral » Sat Feb 13, 2016 6:09 am

Rental is a blood thinner often prescribed for people with circulation problems in their lower extremities. It is also prescribed for Peyrones...I was on it for a year and most of the year I was able to just use Viagra, while on daily Cialis 5mgs.. I stopped injecting for several months because the pills were working fine....However I was also on the Trental at the time to address some scar tissue I developed which has since resolved. The Doc who prescribed the Trental is no longer practicing, ( so I'm off it) however my urologist who's prescribing the Trimix said the Trental wouldn't help..Now I Googled Trental and ED and sure enough there are several studies indicating that Trental can be very helpful for those patients who's ED is caused by cardio vascular disease...Which I have ( had coronary by=pass 4 years ago) How can I know more than him? Has anyone ever heard of Trental or it's other name Pentox being prescribed for ED?

My first urologist prescribed Pentoxifiline ( same med) along with vitamin E, Cialis and Trimix. I took it for 8 years. Insurance quit paying for it after 1 1/2 years, then the pharmacy could not get it any more so I started buying it overseas. I did not like the way it made my head feel though. About the same way as too much Cialia, so I quit taking it a year ago after I used up my supply on hand.

This is what kills me about physicians....Here is just one study indicating the effectiveness of Pentox (Trental) and Viagra combined for people with ED caused by blood circulation problems...You think the Docs would be aware of these findings..Mind you, there are other studies as well indicating the benefits of taking Trental along with Viagra for those who's ED is caused by decrease blood flow to the penis. Rental comes in generic form with a co-pay of 10 bucks in my plan..but the Docs want you on the more expensive treatments...go figure...
