Hey Bjones. First of all, no questions around here are silly, so fire away. Injections don't hurt at all once you get past the phobia. Prices for Trimix vary. One pharmacy I know in Florida charges $226 for a 5ML vial of Trimix that is available for $66 at a pharmacy in Texas. Some pharmacies ship across state lines. Try to find a local compounding agency charging less than $100 -- that would represent a good value.

I recently started doing the injections and was really surprised how painless it was. The small thin needle slides in easily and the only thing is learning the right technique for injecting that's right for you.

And yes, it can get spendy depending on how much you have to use. Before I was buying generic viagra from overseas and only paid about $1.50 for each 100mg pill.

I started out with 15 units, but after trial and error, 50 units and above works the best. There were several threads about pain (or really the lack thereof) that are on this board that gave me confidence to take the shot. The pain really is negligible. My wife gives me the shot and we make it into foreplay. She dresses up in a nurse costume (nurse Nancy or Nanette depending on her mood) and gives me the shot. Sometimes she tastes my member to firm it up for the shot. She was/is nervous but has given me 40-50 shots without a mishap. She is good at it.

As far as hesitant, I really wanted the erection so I bit the bullet and took the shot. I am using a 31 gauge needle that's 5/16ths of an inch. We tried the 1/2 inch needle, but it didn't work very good. I think the needle was passing through the corpra cavernosa instead of into it which doesn't allow the medication to get in area where it should be. At first, she just gave me the shot, but we read where someone here draws the plunger back checking for blood after putting the needle in. If she gets blood, then she has the needle in the right position and gives me the shot.

The Trimix was 80 dollars for 500 units (5 vials at 100 units each) when I first started to use it, but in the last year has increased to 105 for 5 vials. At $10.50 a shot, it is still way cheaper than a $50 dollar Viagra, works faster, and with none of the side effects.

Summing it up, Trimix is a miracle drug as far as I am concerned. Strong erections, relatively cheap shots, no side effects, and not painful at all. Go for it.
