Anyone else experience SUDDEN HEARING LOSS from Viagra/Cialis/Levitra?

I dunno ... my Tinnitus does not go away from pressing ... hah hah hah ...

But like Elwood in Blues Brothers said about the train noise -- "They come by so often you won't hardly notice them" ...

Same with Tinnitus -- there so often you forget to notice -- until someone brings it up!

I have been using Cialis for quite some time, and I did have a sudden loss of hearing in one ear about 2 years ago. I never thought of that as the cause my hearing loss. It could be a possibility.

You were lucky that you were put on the "steroid" right away which helped you gain the hearing back. (One had to begin the steroids within the week of the loss)...i was late to start.

I had tinnitus before and that only compounded my loss of hearing in one ear. Docs could not do detailed testing since I can only do the CAT scan and the definitive test for the hearing is an MRI.

I believe I got the Tinnitus back when I was on an anti depressant after my kidney cancer in 2000. The Tinnitus is driving me crazy and I get no peace at all with that high hissing sound. Damn

Hope they find a cure for Tinnitus sufferers.

BTW Jim I will have to listen to the commercial and will tell the wife to press harder and maybe that would knock out the Tinnitus...

Thanks Mike, I appreciate you sharing your story. I'm curious if you recall whether there was any time relationship with the hearing loss episode and when you last used Cialis? The typical story (as with myself) was noticing it upon waking the next morning. I've also read cases where it occurred after periods of more frequent use (also similar in my case).

My main reason for asking is wondering about the risk of worsened ear injury with further use - did you notice any worsening of your tinnitus after you would use Cialis? Did you notice any worsening over time (of the hearing loss or tinnitus) with continued use? I would love to go back to using oral agents but I never want to go through that experience again... Your input would be much appreciated!
