Anything outside of pills, pumps, injections or implants?

Postby danny1553 » Tue Nov 29, 2011 7:58 am

Unfortunately nothing works in my case of the venous leak, except for the implant. But the length concern makes me think this is not for me since I am far behind the “lengthy guys”.
Something at the back of my memory I remember a news story about some experimental Japanese ED device that solves the ED for the time the device was being turned on. Something that generates some electrical impulses… The only downside was that the device has to be inserted rectally but I guess dignity is not a concern in comparison to the embarrassing nature of ED.
I cannot find anything about that. Anybody heard about such a device? Or perhaps that was yet another “miracle cure” made by the news industry?

If the problem is venous leak a cock ring may help--not that you haven't tried that, right? However, it seems that the effectiveness of different types of rings is dependent on individual anatomy. For instance, shaft-only rings do little for me, but cock AND ball rings (around the whole package) are much more effective in my situation.

Also, I just came across another option you may want to check out: http://theloverband.com/medical_facts.php There are pictures of it under their "product" tab (with the glans 'discreetly' blocked out...lol). Something tells me their mannequins have no problem keeping an erection. Anyway, there must be some way of making your own "loverband" at less expense.

Another type of ring called the Hardwear is reviewed at http://www.pegym.com/products/hardwear-male-enhancer. Both of these products put added pressure on the main dorsal veins of the shaft. Perhaps a regular cock ring could be improved simply by wrapping some athletic tape around one spot on the ring that will be placed on top of the shaft.

Good luck!

Thanks Josh

I did not know that ring selection makes a difference. I tried a couple of models from eBay. They hold an erection as long as I do not do anything
But after starting the friction it usually goes away - I guess the blood just finds its way out to give my dick a break :( .
Do you think it is worth trying different ring models? I have not tried the pump yet - just put the ring on the base of the erected penis.
What is annoying about rings is that simple piece of rubber costs about $20...

If you have a venous leak, you will need tight constriction. I am currently having success with injections; however, prior to starting injections and currently on non injection days, I have good success with the Osbon Ring - tight medium. I slide it down my well lubed shaft and kegel in some fresh blood which generates and maintains a nicely engorged erection. However, the glans starts to loose sensitivity after 10 minutes and needs to be removed after 15 minutes because the glans starts to become numb. It works even better if you pump first. It costs about $9 plus about $5 for shipping.

I have also had success with a tight 1" neoprene ring - $12 plus shipping. Erections represent an important part of your life. Accordingly, it is worth a few bucks to find the right cock ring for you.

I just started using an IPad, so I haven't figured out how to copy yet. Try Googling Osbon Ring and you should be able to click on erectaid which offers the rings for $17.5 (I previously mis stated the price).

665leather offers the neoprene rings so try googling that, Warning, 665 offers a lot of S and M merchandise so be prepared for some graphic pictures.

If you are using a VED and losing your erection when you try to have intercourse, you probably need a tighter and/or stiffer tension ring. When I first got my pump (Augusta Medical) and was practicing with it, it seemed the size 6 (7/8" diam) was ok, but when I tried using it for intercourse, I lost my erection pretty quickly. I moved down to size 5 (5/8" diam) and that has worked well. (My dick is 1.5 inches in diameter fully engorged.) I use the "Select" rings. One time I ordered the "Ultimate", and found them to be not as stiff as "Select", and didn't hold as well. They are kind of expensive, but you can usually find a "buy 2 get 1 free" deal, which brings down the cost. I buy three at a time and rotate through them. I think I probably get 10 or 12 uses out of each ring before it gets stretched out and doesn't hold the erection long enough anymore. Hope this helps.

Phil,

That's a pretty short life for those rings .. so much for the "Select' and 'Ultimate' names -- good old Marketing. I assume those are made of silicone? Cheap to make and pretty bad no matter what brand. Also those are actual rings, right? Not the flat donut disk that covers the bottom of the pump? Never used those.

The Osbon rings, as is mentioned here many times, are the real ultimate rings. I've had some for over two years now and they are still working fine and holding fine. (But in last six months I don't use them any more during intercourse -- gone on to Trimix for that). Sometimes the little handles break on them, but just trim the stubs and keep on using em -- the ring itself has never cracked or broken.

Right, they are actual rings, not the donut disks. I don't know if they're silicone or vinyl, but they have a ring with a solid handle on each side. When they are brand new you can barely stretch them enough to get onto the loading cone. The Select rings are white, the Ultimate are sort of clear, and are softer and stretchier (and don't hold the erection as long). I haven't tried Osbon, but will look into them. Are they the ones with the little notch at the bottom for those who are still ejaculating? (Not that I need to worry about that!) I tried Trimix gel, but couldn't get enough medicine in my urethra to work consistently. My doctor was opposed to injections, so I've never tried those.
