Pills, Internet, Cost and SAFETY!

Postby regain-is-the-aim » Thu Nov 10, 2011 6:06 pm

There has been a fair amount of discussion recently on our site concerning pills primarily, but also injection drugs, thru mail-order/Internet as we seek the best price possible since insurance companies discriminate against men in this aspect of our medical care.

Yes, pills are expensive and if one can find a secure source for cheaper meds that can be a good thing. However, please be careful so that you are as-sure-as-possible that the cheaper pill is what they say it is and is safe! None of us need to add to our ED problem with a contaminated pill which causes side-effects and hurts our body simply because it is cheaper.

There is a new article posted on the Home Page entitled “Fake Erectile Dysfunction Drugs Continue to Grow”. Please, read it. There are people in this wide world who don’t care if they hurt you as long as you pay your hard-earned money and buy their product. Throughout the US there is an attraction to buying pills from Canada because they are cheaper. I understand and appreciate that thought. But, beyond the cost; the question you need to ask is where is the drug manufactured? The quality controls on drug manufacturing which exist in the US and Canada are not necessarily present in all countries. A drug bought in Canada may or may not be made in Canada.

Buying any drug made in China, at this point, is not a good idea. Their lack of standards and oversight protection for their own people, let alone us, is so abysmal; guys, regardless of price it is not worth the gamble. Drugs made in India appear to be more complicated as they are experiencing a growing sophistication in manufacturing standards which some producers follow and some don’t. Consider asking the “store” 1.) where is the drug manufactured, 2.) what quality control standards govern the manufacturing process and 3.) what type of quality inspection process governs the manufacturing plant. Remember, a site that says it is in Canada can also be a re-route to a place somewhere far away with “Peggy” answering the screen. . . .You and Lou Holtz could be in the same boat!

Our doctors can not assist us with this issue. No doctor, because of malpractice and professional licensing considerations, could/should verify or suggest that those sources are secure or safe. Also remember, these pills are probably a generic which means they are NOT identical to the “real” pill. Even if they have the exact same active “medicine” ingredient, the binders, fillers and casing are probably chemically different. Sometime this matters and sometimes it doesn't. The science is beyond me, but it can make a difference in efficacy or safety.

Please, I’m not trying to moralize or preach with this post. It’s just that I like you all and want to continue to enjoy your humor, support and wisdom for years to come. I am also not suggesting that all Internet sources are unsafe. But, due diligence is required and all should proceed with caution and eyes open. Price is not everything as we protect our most precious body part and rise to the occasion.

Just a thought.

Just a small addition. So called "Canadian online pharmacies" in most cases have nothing to do with Canada. At the best the calling center is located in Canada. Drugs are usually shipped from China, India, Russia or other third world countries. On the question where drugs are coming from the answer is usually standard - "we have warehouses across the world".
So do not blame Canada if you get placebo at the half price of Viagra...

Thanks so much for sharing your concern regarding members of Frank Talk who use online Canadian and other pharmacies. Actually, your concern for us not to request that our physicians recommend foreign sources for our ED drugs is somewhat misplaced, particularly knowing that so many United States physicians are beholden to the pharmaceutical industry in this country. The record of both for getting patients hooked on drugs that often do more harm than good is very apparent, particularly as patients so often treat their physicians as gods who always know what is best. The pharmaceutical companies in our country are far more concerned with their profits than they are with the welfare of those who purchase their drugs. I personally have been purchasing my own ED generic drugs from a Canadian pharmacy that I trust as much as any pharmacy in my hometown. I find the drugs as effective as the United States brand name drugs, and I absolutely could not afford to take either Cialis or Levitra sold in our US pharmacies. Even so-called US pharmaceutical companies are often owned by much larger conglomerates outside the United States, but we do know that many of our US senators and congressmen have been purchased by these pharmaceutical companies, as well as by the large insurance companies; your and my health are not their primary concerns.

I have purchased several of my regular daily meds from Canada (Northwestpharmacy.com) for a couple of years now and I have confidence in their versions. One actually comes from a US company in the upper east coast, Vermont I think, others from Germany, India. The problem is Customs delay so you have to allow 2 weeks delivery time.

There are several members on this board, including myself, who have had good results from alldaychemists.com in India. I have also read a number of positive comments on ADC on at least three other penis enhancement forums. However, I do not believe they ship to Canada.

Regarding the pharmacies being call centers, I have talked to pharmacist directly at NW and have questioned other staff and been given good help.

Hmm looking at all chemist...they say that the generic equivalent of Cialis Tadalfil isn't for consumption in the U.S. ..... but other websites allow you to order it.
Has anyone in the U.S. ordered this from them and received it?

From what I understand, AllDay is required to say that, and you agree that you won't be using it in the United States; however, that is just a legal formality that is a CYA type of thing. Several people on this forum use AllDaychemists; you might check out Northwest Pharmacy in Canada. I think their prices are comparable; Northwest does require a prescription. You can send a copy of your prescription, but the pharmacy calls your doctor's office for confirmation.

I just received my third order of Tadadifil from ADC. I ordered thirty 30 mg pus 30 bonus pills (manufactured by Cooper labs) for a total cost of $115, including the $25 shipping cost. LittleJohn is correct in that it is only CYA wording. You do have to confirm back by e-mail that you will not use it in the US before they will ship.
