Well, I must admit that this is a website I never thought I would have a use for. Stupid me. Found out that I had a wicked case of Prostate cancer a few months ago, with a Gleason 9. RRP on July 21 with no nerve sparing. <sigh> <weep>
Anyway, here I am, limpdick and all. My first post surgery psa was done last Friday, (9/3) and psa was non-detect. whew!
I did ask my uro about when we could talk about the ED, and his response was "at your next visit" which is on 9/24. He plans to introduce me to caverject and a pump at that time. (I wonder if he'll rent the exam room for an hour or so?)
Anyway, I'm here to learn from you fellows who have already broken a lot of ground on this topic.
Thanks for letting me hang around.

Re: Hey guys; Newbie here
I absolutely second what Mike said above. Welcome and you're not alone.
I had RP for prostate cancer and was pretty down for a while. I'm now having great success with 10 mG levitra only. This was after many months of no action with oral drugs/pump (harder, but not enough for intercourse) and then 5 months of pretty succesful trimix injections (with too much effect near the end of use). I believe the trimix jump-started the equipment in my case and now the oral drugs are working for me.
I had my RP in May 2009.
There are a lot of good treatments for ED and guys respond differently. What works for one may not work for another. Research all your options and keep your mind open.
Good luck...great site here.

Age 54.
Open RRP in May of 2009. Gleason at biopsy, 3+3. Gleason after surgery, 3+4 with extra-prostatic extension. Stage III cancer. No incontinence issues. ED issues. Trimix for 5 months. Now, levitra alone is working at 10 mG.

Welcome kbota and arthur. I'm sure you'll benefit from all the moral support you'll get on thi site. I've found it helpful just to get things off my mind and get some feedback. You know the feeling you get from a hug? Well, think of the support you get here as cyber hugs. It really helps.
God bless and best wishes for recovery.
