Cavernosometry / cavernosography (“dye-test”) of crura – and consequent embolization of veins in X-ray department

I previously have had dorsal-vein ligation, to address venous-leak in penis. But this has not been successful, as I still suffer other venous leak, which it’s believed might be stemming from the crura region.

My urologist has suggested a dye-test in this area. And if leakage is found, to embolize the area (in the X-ray department) – where they point tube down to the leaking veins and fire off some little coils to plod it off – from what I understand.

Has anyone on the board had such a vein-embolization done to their crura (further to investigations from a dye-test) – and has it proved successful to them for stopping their venous leaks from this region and improving their erection?

Thank you Naginati, I had not heard this about emobilsation before, so useful to hear anything you've heard. Would be useful to hear anyone else's thoughts, as I can find very limited info about embolisation out there.

Dorsal-vein ligation I don't think had any success for me. But I had it done simultaneously to a straightening-procedure to address congenital-curvature (cannot remember exact medical term for it), and circumcision to address phimosis - so perhaps my case was exceptional - as I was simultaneously still recovering from the other two procedures.

Wishing you all the best for your venous leak issues also - it's very frustrating!
