Hello, this is my first posting.
I'm 34 years old. When I look back, I think my issues began when i was around 30, but I didn't seek treatment until I was 32 after I dated someone and I had issues maintaining erections during sex. We ended things before I saw a urologist for the issue. The urologist told me it was anxiety and prescribed me cialis 20 mg, I ended up cutting the first one in half and it worked really well. I took it several times after that at 1/4 of the pill and it worked well. That being said, I assumed it was anxiety and attempted to modify my lifestyle by becoming vegan and eating healthy, taking supplements, etc. I mostly stopped taking the Cialis because I was under the impression that I could resolve the anxiety and hopefully restore my functioning. I tried many different herbal remedies over the two year period as well, none worked that well to be honest.
Two years later (which puts me at two months ago) I started dating someone new and when we had sex, I couldn't get an erection that was suitable for intercourse. I went back to the urologist and was prescribed cialis daily 5 mg and to be honest, I've noticed an improvement, i'm able to have sex, but my erection quality has significantly diminished from where I was 2 years ago and lately I have been going soft during intercourse. Also, I have to lay on my back to maintain my erection. Other positions do not seem to work and when i stand i seem to lose the erection. Luckily, the person I am seeing is being supportive and that has been a big help. I scheduled a follow up appointment with the urologist to see what types of tests I can have done to discover my issue and he said he still thought it was anxiety. He told me that the test would be invasive and expensive and my insurance probably would not cover it. I inquired about injections and he said they were more expensive than the cialis and he did not want to prescribe injections to me because I was young and healthy. I looked in to getting a doppler test done at a major hospital nearby, but at this point my insurance would not cover it and it would be outside of what I can afford. I’m hoping to begin a new job soon and with new insurance this may become an option in the future.
I do have generalized anxiety disorder and I recognize this can contribute to my issue. I've been in therapy for years and I'm familiar with anxiety treatment, but I have not decided whether or not to seek out a counselor that specialized in sex therapy due to the potential cost. My symptoms of anxiety have become significantly worse this year and I can acknowledge that it is possible that this is a psychological issue in nature, but i'm still not convinced that this is what is going on. I had my family doctor run some blood work for me recently that checked my hormone level and my thyroid functioning and both were reported to have come back normal (total hormone levels were 463). I've been supplementing with b12 and other b vitamins, as well as essential minerals and vitamin D (b levels and d level were normal).
I noticed that my erections are not as firm as they were 2 years ago when I took cialis and i'm concerned that I need to do something to maintain the functioning that I have left. I've considered looking into a pump device to see if I can get more blood flow going or just for an option to maintain better erections. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't just start the daily cialis 2 years ago and stay on it. I keep wondering if it would have prevented my sexual dysfucntion from getting worse and that has played with my mind at times.
I made an appointment with a new urologist that I will see in 5 or 6 weeks. I’ve heard he has a good reputation and I was told that he may be more sympathetic towards my desire to discover why this is happening to me. I would very much like to discover what the underlying cause is so that I can take the best course of action to treat my issue.
If anyone has helpful advice on what I can do to maintain what functioning I still have and/or to improve the situation, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Also, thank you for taking the time to read this.

Trimix injections are way cheaper then Cialis or Viagra unless you're getting generics from outside the US. My Trimix script cost me $125 and probably is enough for well over 100 doses of rock hard cock that last 3 hours or more. Viagra and Cialis still work OK for me but not as well as Trimix. I still use Viagra and Cialis as it really depends on the situation or what kind of sex I'm planning to have. I order my generic Viagra and Cialis from pharmstore.com which is a Canadian online pharmacy but the generic Viagra comes from the UK and Cialis comes from India I think. Go get some scripts and up your dosages if you need to. Viagra has always given me better erections then Cialis but Cialis always seemed more natural in how it worked.

Thanks for the helpful advice! I will definitely look in to that online pharmacy and generic viagra. I'll also try increasing my dose of cialis to see if that helps. When i see my new urologist, I'll ask him if he will prescribe me trimix injections, that seems like a great idea and the cost sounds very reasonable. I'm sincerely hoping to have good results with injections.

Hero,
For years I was told my problem was in my head, not my penis. It took 30 years and numerous doctors to finally get one who scheduled a Penile Doer and I found out I had a severe Venous Leak.
I am not a doctor, but when you describe how you have to be on your back to mai twin an erection and you lose it when getting up, I will tell you that was my exact symptom for 30 years while trying to get someone to help me. I uunderstand how anxiety can get you to lose an erection during sex, but why would anxiety keep you on your back and cause you to lose hardness because you stand up?
I hope you can get a test to tell you one way or the other what the issue is. Until you know what is causing the problem it is difficult to know the best way to treat it. I had a VL for 30 years and my anxiety came as a result of doctors prescribing pills and injections that didn’t work because the leak was too severe. It’s bad when doctors are more interested in prescribing medications than solving orobkems. Best wishes.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Thanks for sharing your experience with me Greg. I will definitely bring up the possibility of a venous leak with my new urologist when i see him, im hoping he will be able to refer me for an ultrasound that can screen for it.

It does sound like venous leak. In the meantime, I’d try viagra 100mg on an empty stomach about 30 minutes before sex.

Re: Seeking some advice or helpful information
I have a high deductible insurance plan and have only met my deductible once in the last 8 plus years. So my prescriptions and doctor visits are always out of pocket. My last script of Viagra I had filled was less then $45 for 88 tablets of 100mg generic Viagra. I think that's a great price considering I use to pay about $15 for each 100mg Viagra pill. I'm curious though how much generic Viagra would cost me at a US pharmacy. I've tried googling it and the costs I've seen is still way to high for me.

Re: Seeking some advice or helpful information
That seems like a veey reasonable price for the viagra. Im paying 348 a month for the cialis daily at the moment and thats from a us pharmacy. I used good rx card, i think the normal price was 446. Im definitely going to request a script for viagra at my next appointment. Im not sure the cost for generic viagra in us pharmacy at this time though.
