I don't suffer from the hinge effect.(Knock on wood.) I have experimented with using the penile sleeve in the last couple of months. Some say it can reduce the hinge effect.
The sleeve does not feel like adding more gear. In fact it reduces the sometimes distracting effect of the rings. When I first used it I followed directions from previous threads on this site and softened it in hot water before putting it on. When I applied the rings there was a moment where I wondered if the ring(s) were on at all as I did not have the usual sensation when they are first applied and did not feel them as usual.

I sometimes like to use a Tantulus C-Ring to "lift" everything up. Since the c-ring goes around the penis and balls and lifts up, the penile sleeve interferes with the effect and, in this case, is a hindrance.
It is also somewhat of a nuisance to have to put on before using a pump and rings and does add another step and time before I am ready.

If you search this site you will find informative discussions where guys have, to varying degrees of success, used the penile sleeve to reduce the hinge effect. I would recommend you read those discussions and then decide. If you decide to try a sleeve at worse you will be out 20 some dollars and some time spent experimenting.

A "Man" taking control and remaining in control is a far more powerful influence under these circumstances tthan some "standard position" she might "expect" from her experiences with other men.
