New life down below?

An interesting development. Twice in the last couple of days I have had some new life in my penis. I was sitting in my recliner and the little guy was partially perked up. Again this morning he was showing some signs of life. Not a lot, but more than I have had in the three years since my RP. Anyone have similar experiences? I am thisclose to having my urologist set me up with the injections.

Falcon,
Yes, I had experiences like that for almost 7 years between prostatectomy and implant.
What are you waiting for? Go see your doc about the shots. If they work and you can deal with sticking the needle in your penis, great! If not, start planning for an implant.
I kept up hope that my erection would miraculously come back, finally I accepted reality and got the implant. My only regret was that I had wasted almost 7 years with a limp penis.

That's been another concern. Have I waited to long? It doesn't sound like it from your experience. Thank you for your advice.

I dealt with ED for 30 years before I got implanted.

That’s my experience too. But waiting and hoping that our hard erections come back in just a matter of time is not good. We are getting older every day and the cause of our ED is doing more and more danage. Late in the evening and early morning I have some some partial erection and slowly I can work it up to about 80% right before ejacukation. But I know if I wanted to use this with a woman for intercourse it would not work at all.

In fact I think Erectile Dysfunction is not even the right name for our condition. It’s more like Male Sexual dysfunction. Many men can have partial erections but cannot function sexually to a satisfactory level.

Most of us here regret waiting for to long to find solutions for our problem. It cost me an otherwise great marriage.

If you are on the fence about getting an implant, my recommendation is to make sure your penis "gets a workout" daily so that no elasticity or size is lost. Whether that is with pills injections or a vacuum erection device (the least invasive means of that exercise).

In a fully functional man, his penis gets a number of nighttime erections. Blood flow and stretching to size are important to maintain penile health. Artificially induced erections can emulate that healthy process.

Suggests that pre-op prep can 1) reduce post-op pain, 2) reduce post-op recover time and 3) make insertion easier as well as 4) the original focus on minimizing loss of length.
