Testosterone therapy (injections every ten days) is one of the best things that has happened to me in years. I started about six months ago and never miss a shot. I have a completely different outlook on life, feel much more confident, have slimmed my belly, and have the libido I had in my twenties. Quality of life trumps longevity for me. Keep us posted on your progress.

podreest,
I am on Testopel injections. Little pellets injected every 6 months.
They have improved every part of my life. I was so tired at times I
couldn't set in a chair and read the paper without falling asleep.
I would suggest having your Dr. look into these. Quick, painless
and no mess. I have found them to be very effective.
Good luck to you!

Testosterone is good. I cannot say my libido has increased significantly, but what definitely has changed is my mood. Pretty much now I am stable almost all the time and usually I do not give a crap to external sources of irritation and disappointment. Also my body shape became more athletic - my waist now is like when I was 20-th.

+1. I've been upon Testopel for almost two years and it has significantly made a difference. I have higher energy levels, better mental focus, and just feel more like I used to. It has enabled me to have the ambition to begin to get back in shape (lost 50 lbs. thru diet and exercise). I would say it has had some, but not sufficient, effect on my sex life. So I did have a
penile implant done a few months back. As always your mileage will vary, but I can honestly say I feel younger now at 62 than I did at 55.

Just had app't with the urologist. He advised that it takes time for androgel to become effective. I told him that I have started to feel mory energy and did minimal flower bed work yesterday and walked 3 shorter walks in past few days comfortably. He thought this good but said improvement would take more time. Erection improvement takes 6-9mo. We talked about injections. Unfortunately no compunder local. that's OK. I'm willing to drive the 50 mi to closest one. We also talked implants, if we come to that. He has done a lot of them. Many since here locally over past 5 years. He is an Indian (asian) man, on the younger side. I'm comfortable with him. He will see me in 6 mo for blood work and PSA. I will untimately switch to him from Endocrinologist. Learned some needed info on the "T".
