Gas Station Boner Pills

Postby Rodney205 » Mon Sep 16, 2019 12:14 pm

Hey all,
30 year old man reporting in.

Super comforting to see a place like this existing. I think it's important to have a place to discuss all issues in an open light.

Roughly 3 years ago I discovered gas station sex pills and found a source for automatic boners for any girl that I was seeing. It was incredible at the time and I used them for about 6-9 months or so. Roughly 4 months in it became difficult to perform without them. And 6 months into it it I could only perform with them, until roughly 9 months went by and I had some difficulty performing even with them.

When I stopped these pills I could barely function. Very little movement "downstairs" whatsoever.

It's 3 years later and even though I can get relatively hard some of the time - it is NOT what I remember it to be before the pills (Although better than right after I stopped taking them.) It feels difficult to initially get a boner started and when it's up it's usually not as full as I remember. At any rate, sex has not excited so much as it has given me anxiety for years.

I don't have full morning wood 95% of the time (just a partial sometimes) and even masturbating I'm not always getting hard. I can just feel that when I "want" to get hard there's a lack of "oomph" in the "fill up." Also it starts filling up in a different way then I remember - it starts in a downward path instead of just going right up.

I've been eating healthy, working out, and talking to girls.

Last I had my bloodwork my total testosterone was 402 ng/dl and bioavailable was 165.7 ng/dl (I think this is low for my age - but I know very little about this.)

It's caused me a lot of emotional pain and it's extremely helpeful just to talk about it.

Doctor says to just take the prescription pills (they used to work wonderfully 3 years ago - now - "so-so." There's a lot of unknowns as the testing is expensive and, regardless of the test, the prescription is usually the same.

Any ideas on what I can do or what this could be? Thanks!

Rodney205, welcome to the forum.

Any idea what those "gas station pills" had as ingredients? Could those ingredients be making your erections depending on them or perhaps your diminishing erections are a result of "passage of time" (that is, aging), though so quick a decline is suspicious.

After diminishing capacity, I used Viagra (sildenafil) for a couple of years, but they lost effectiveness, so switched to another pill which worked for a couple of years and then Levitra (Tadalafil) which worked for a while and then lost effectiveness. Developing a tolerance is apparently normal.

Layman's advice: If you are not getting nocturnal erections, a vacuum erection device can emulate those until you get normal erections restored (flushing blood through penile tissues is important and maintaining elasticity of those tissues is important to retaining size as well. But be gentle with the vacuum, you don't want to tear anything!)

Good luck. Maintaining conversation with your primary care Physician is important, and maintaining a dialogue with a Urologist who focuses on sexual health/performance is a good idea for any man experiencing declining erectile function.

Good luck. You are on the right track.

p.s.
When I first joined FrankTalk, I took a couple weekends to read through two and a half years of posts/threads with titles that interested me and appeared informative. I recommend this to you. It will give you a better basis for forming questions and understanding the answers. This will also help get your medical team to accept you as a contributing partner in the decision-making.

I also recommend doing extensive research on your chosen urologist/sexual health physician and interview him (or her) pointedly and make yourself an integral part of the medical team. (Of course, many men choose not to do that and I cannot fault them - just do what is comfortable for your personality and approach to your medical care.)

I recommend documenting your size (length and girth) by careful measurement and photographs. Make sure your measurement protocol is repeatable. The most widely used measurement is to press a measuring tool against your pubic bone just above your penis, compressing the pubic fat pad as much as possible and measuring (straight) to the tip of your penis (not following the curve to the tip, but just straight out like a shoe store measures your foot to the tip of your toe.) Girth is measurement of circumference at the midpoint of your penis. Some choose to find the girthiest part, instead. Usually the two points are the same or very close.

402 too low for your your age. You need to be 800 or better. Only way to do that is with testosterone replacement therapy (TRP) Dont know about Alaska but here in NJ doc wont prescribe this as my T-level is 416 which is fine but not enough for my likes. Found a clinic/ website in fla. who approved me over the phone and will Fed X me a month`s supply of legit injectable testosterone citrate with needles and syringes for $195 per mo. www.royalmedicalcenters.com

I`m 74 and a year ago I got a urologist to prescribe me "Testopel" which are timed release pellets inserted under my skin and lasted 4 months. Holy shit!! did they ever work, T-level went quickly from 220 to 1100! my libido went thru the roof and I had more energy, slept better and could concentrate better Only problem is they cost $1400 each time, no good. so I guess I`ll try the injectables. Let me know if you do this and your experience.
thanks, Jeff in NJ

Without knowing what was in the “gas station pills” there is no way for anyone to say the effects or fallout from their use. So let’s drop that and move on to the here and now.

Find a great doctor and take the steps he/she suggests. You sound skeptical of your current doctor. Look at that. If the skepticism is justified, find a new doctor you will trust. Otherwise put yourself in their trust and move forward.

There is a LOT to look at. You are just at the start of this process. T-level, co-morbidities, psych/emotion, lots to consider. But make a start, see what works and keep taking the next right action.

Prescription meds: Viagra, Levitra, Cialis is usually the starting point. Get some decent stretchy silicone, leather, and metal cock rings from a decent sex shop or website. They can help a ton.

But there is more if that doesn’t do the trick: vacuum devices (VED), EDEX/BiMix/TriMix/QuadMix, and implants. But all of that stuff is further down the path. Start at the start and see what works.

Lots of great info here and an incredibly kind, supportive community of men.
55yo, NYC. ED started at 40. 50 units BiMix + Atropine (Pap 30/Phen 6/Atr 0.2). Prostaglandins caused aching. Doses increasing. A cock ring helps. Phallosan Forte tension devise to maintain size. Eager to talk about implant experiences.

I have no idea what those pills are but taking meds without a prescription is not a sensible thing to do.

My advice: go see a doctor (urologist). Even if this is just psychological, a urologist will be able to help you. And forget those gas station boner pills.

Ask him about combination therapy. In my case, I combine Cialis + oral phentolamine and results are spectacular. Cialis alone doesn't do much for me.

If your case is psychological (and you seem to be anxious about this, which is perfectly normal), PDE-5 inhibitors are probably not the best solution. Oral phentolamine, however, may be very effective because it blocks sympathetic action in the penis. It works for me, that's for sure.

A mild anxiolytic, e.g. valerian root extract, may also be helpful. There are studies that suggest that valerian root may improve erections.

Again, only your doctor can say what's best for you. Good luck!
