Its been my 4th day on TRT cream applying one pump to the shoulder every morning. But my libido is still the same being low. Should I wait longer? How long should I wait to experience a noticeable improvement in libido?

Hey King
I have used the Androgel which i applied to my shoulders everyday. It takes several weeks to get the testosterone into your system.. Your not going to see an erection from it. That comes from you since it energizes one. Is hair growing yet ?
Once you see notice that you are seeing more hair in spots you never noticed before, it is working. You will be horny and you will be thinking about sex and your dick more...
Patience man, and the doctor will only ask you if you feel better...more energy not sleepy etc.
Good luck Man

I used Androgel for about 6 months and it had no effect of any kind. It brought my number up but that made no difference at all.

This is a sensitive subject and I know many guys here support TRT but I wouldn't touch it with a teen-foot pole. The true impact of testosterone in sexual function is not entirely clear and you shouldn't mess with your endocrine system. If you want to increase your testosterone levels, just get some exercise.

There are centrally acting drugs that will improve your libido and erections (e.g. apomorphine, PT-141), they are much safer than TRT.

sorry, have to argue, but why is PT-141 ( a drug not even approved for males ) more safer than a substance our body makes? Testosterone is VERY SAFE and I hate the demonism it gets, stick to TRT doses and it will do more for your health than any other pill/drug in the world

I agree mlc2010, Flavio is way off base. Old men's testosterone is low because the Endocrine system no longer produces it. The only way to increase it to a healthy level is TRT. For 10 years I tried exercise and supplements with steadily decreasing levels. All sexual effects aside, testosterone is necessary for healthy muscles and strength. I target just above the mid-point with twice weekly injections in my upper thigh trying to avoid muscles.

I have used both androgel and PT 141. In my opinion, PT 141 is more effective in increasing libido. Androgel increased my testosterone to above 800 but only had a slight affect on my libedo and after six months it started to increase my PSA and shrunk my testicles. On the other hand, PT141 is still experimental so we do not know about any long term side effects.
