Effectiveness of sildenafil over time

I started on two 20mg tablets of sildenafil in 2018 and it's worked well. Lately not as much. Today I took four out of a brand new bottle just received from Costco mail order pharmacy and it had very little effect. Up until a few months ago I'd get flushed and warm in the face and could feel "stirrings" after 20-30 minutes with just two tablets.
No real health changes. 72 year old. I might be 5 or 10 pounds overweight but get regular vigorous exercise. No diabetes. Barely even need the daily 25 mg of hydrochlorothyazide to keep good blood pressure.
Wondering if it's time to try Cialis.

I could go on but not 100% sure of what is "discussable" on this forum yet.

I started with 25 mg of sildenafil And over the next 5 years I had to increase up to 100 mg. When 100 mg was no longer effective, I switched to Trimix injections which worked well for. three years until they became ineffective and I had to rely on a VED.

Anyway, you don’t know if Tadalafil Works until you try it. Guys react differently to different meds.

I have to ask at what point do the husband and wife decide to take care of their needs ( assuming they still have needs ), on their own. Infidelity is not on the table at all.
There is, of course, the whole psychological trap of getting to where you respond to porn but not a real person.
