Urolift procedure

Wondering if anyone out there has had an Urolift procedure & how long did it take to recover from it?

I had my procedure on Wed. 10-14-20 & dealing w bleeding & blood clots. Just wondering if I’m doing ok or not so much. I have finished my antibiotic & been drinking lots of water, but can’t seem to get over the bleeding & clots, but this is only my 6th day, so mayb being too impatient.
Any help from others would b much appreciated.

I'm being tested next week to see if I need/qualify ffor Urolift or Rezum procedure. I see one post above regarding bleeding and clots. Doc didn't mention any of this.

I really strongly suggest before you get a Urolift procedure you do a search on this forum. I have written about my experience which was negative. Be prepared not only for a few days of severe discomfort, but also be prepared for the procedure not being successful. It doesn't work for everyone.

The Urolift procedure was very positive for me. It did not take me any time to get over the procedure. I was over it in a week. Just drink plenty of water and wash all the meds I took orally out of my system. No pain at all from the procedure itself. I would highly recommend having the procedure if your urologist indicates that you are a candidate.

growinjim, my prostate is too large for other treatments and my urologist suggested aquablation. It's a new procedure that resections the prostate using water jets, a robotically controlled apparatus and computer that purports to have the least side effects compared to other techniques like TURP and lasers. The lack of heat results in less or no damage to surrounding tissue. My urologist has performed a few of these and is impressed with the results. If that's something you want to explore then first check to see if your insurance covers it and if it's available in your area. Up until September 1st BCBS considered it experimental but now approves the procedure. Only one hospital in my city is equipped for it.
