ED - Cardio or Psychological

Hi,
I'm 49 and am very fit with Cross-fit and mountain biking/nordic skiing but I've had issues with blood pressure and cholesterol for quite a while. I'm on a low dose of Losartan for blood pressure (which apparently does not affect ED... and maybe helps a bit). My doctors have not seen fit to prescribe cholesterol meds yet. I get raging hard-ons throughout the night and almost always wake up erect. No issues masturbating although it takes longer to get hard than when I was younger and I no I longer get spontaneous erections from just thinking about sex. My libido is through the roof. I've had martial issues with my wife and she has become disinterested for the most part.. even though we still have sex at least once per week. But for the last year I have difficulties getting erect and it's almost impossible without some kind of manual stimulation. There are many times when I fail altogether... likely because I start getting self conscious about it. I've started 10 mg Cialis and that works amazingly well because it helps me get hard before we even start to kiss.
So.... would this be considered completely psychological in this case.. especially since I get intense nocturnal erections and can masturbate? Or could this be early stages of cardiovascular issues making things worse? I realize y'all aren't doctors but just wanted to throw this out there since I am terrified of this being related to damage from blood pressure and cholesterol issues... which seems like something that cannot be fixed.
