What is an erection supposed to feel like?

I recall getting insanely hard and turned on by these old “Girls Gone Wild” 30 minute preview videos on TV super late at night back in like 2007. Blood rushing to my dick immediately and nothing I could do could take it away. There have been rare instances where my dick gets pretty good in length from a lot of touching with my gf, but that takes a lot of time until it even does that and that isn’t most occasions. When it does that, I don’t ever feel that pulsating throbbing sensation. I’m wondering if you older members or guys who have a recollection of your normal erections can speak to what the feeling is supposed to be like. This is useful for me so I can really see how off base my sexual health is when I need to report to a doctor. Thanks

Get a string or an elastic band. Get it wrapped tightly around the base of one of your fingers. When the circulation to and from the finger has been cut off, play with your finger a little. Maybe stroke it, wiggle it, fondle, etc.

That is somewhat close to what an erect penis feels like but without the sexual aspect.
