Levitra losing its punch

I am 62 and had robotic prostatectomy in 2012. Had ED for 18 months but got good function back after - but with Levitra 20mg. Then had XRT in 2016 - PSA undectable. But in last 18 month Levitra is not as reliable. But this is also when it went generic. Do you think that generic is not as good? ...has anyone tried higher doses of levitra?. I added Muse a couple of times but that has not been consistent either. Thinkning of trying Rugiet. Would like to avoid shots (but I did them post op) and not wanting implant right now. Did 6 shockwaves but no response and very expensive.

Any thoughts?

Generic should not make a difference to the downside (it's the same chemical!!). Rugiet is just a hybrid of viagra and cialis (sidenafil and tadalafil) and is quite similar to levitra. Of those three, as I understand only Cialis / tadalafil is particularly different in duration of impact if you take the 20mg pill. Muse (apostradil) *is* a shot so what you've written kind of confuses me.

Curious: was there a reason you chose Levitra over other PDE5s?

The generic is the same as the Levitra brand. It's not unusual for ED drugs to lose their effectiveness. Have you considered increasing your dosage? If that doesn't work injections would be the next step but you've already said you don't want to go that route. Good luck.

Yes, this is true.

Like I said on another thread, Cialis stopped working for me, so I changed to udenafil and it's doing great.

If one brand of oral drugs stops working, just try another brand. There are currently 11 PDE-5 inhibitors available, they work in a similar way but they are not the same drug and reactions may vary.

Thanks for the responses. I have been reading about increasing the dose of Levitra and I may try that. The original studies included a 40mg dose and there was some improvment without any signficant side effects.

Try adding novelty/sex shop cock rings. I will likely get you some more life from your current regimen. I won't expound further here. Plenty of prior threads on the topic.

No question, it worked best for me early on.
