Erection question

Postby buddypayne » Fri Sep 02, 2022 8:30 am

I'm 17 months out from radical prostatectomy surgery and 70 years old.

My question: what are the signs of erections returning after RP if any?

Thanks, I'm well beyond that point I was on med. before my RP. since I have been on a VED with a ring and now Trimix. I was just wondering from someone who gone through this if there signs of recovery and if the recovery was slow or all of sudden?

Yeah, I was in no hurry to respond to this question as I never did regain natural function. I started from completely dead with very poor or no success from pills, VED or injections. After considerable time I got to a point where I can successfully use a VED or injections. If horny and with sexual thoughts with some stimulation I can get the impression that I'm getting some inflation but when I check not really. Maybe a little thickening but not really. The same situation with sexual thoughts, stimulation and a Viagra, I'll get a little more thickening at the bottom 1/3 that can actually be detected by feel but still nothing really. The pill does help with the VED and injections. While injections initially were disappointing, as time passed my response improved. I'm now quite satisfied with injections. I find that a pill and/or cock ring enhances it further.

So, as you can see I don't really have a success story on natural recovery to share or base a response on. I would simply say if you're slowly regaining feeling and a physical response I wouldn't give up hope. I know that what recovery I did have was very slow and wasn't complete for about 2 years.

Please continue with VED and or injections for at least therapy if not for sex. Atrophy from lack of erections is not your friend.

And feel free to PM for my personal experience. I am almost 4 years out from my RP.

Thanks to everyone for the information.

In the past month or two I have a couple of chubby's and two nights ago I had what I believe was a partial erection.

I'm trying to determine if I should wait longer or should I go for the implant.

I'd guess a full recovery is probably unlikely at this point but I would wait if I was still showing improvement.
