Have a question: don’t you think it’s strange to have supplements otc at “high “ dosage of this substance but if you want the drug version you need the prescription? I suspect the pharmaceutical grade is different.

It’s supposed to be the lighter version of the Irrodan retard, a drug which doesn’t exist anymore, but was a powerful cerebral vasodilator that really really helped with our problems

Do you think that only the prescription drug works for ED, or is the natural supplement useful as well?

I can't find any studies on vinpocetine for ED, how do you know it's effective?

Because it has the same mechanism of action of irrodan retard (buflomedil) and the stuff worked very well and without the “on demand “ problems

Centrally acting treatments may be extremely useful for psychogenic ED but there are several issues:

a) The right delivery method

Oral treatments may not work because they get destroyed in the digestive system and never reach the brain. Sublingual tablets tend to be more effective.

b) Reactions may vary

Everyone is different and reactions to these treatments vary a lot. I tried apomorphine once with some success but I had to quit because I couldn't combine it with Cialis, side effects were unbearable.

c) Complexity of the brain

The brain is an extremely complex organ and still a great mystery. Dopamine is considered the 'love hormone' but it seems that only some receptors work for arousal.

And not all brain activators are helpful: I've read terrible things about a herb called St. John's Wort, which may actually cause ED.

GABA, serotonin and adrenaline are usually considered BAD, whereas dopamine and oxytocin are considered GOOD. But this is way too simplistic.
