PED5 inhibitors stop working for 30yo

Hey all,

Looking for any idea of what might be going on here or any suggestions/solutions. Long story short, used Sildenafil for around 5 years (Starting around 26/27 years old) with great results, 25-50mg would give rock hard erections almost on-demand for 12+ hours. Went through a rough break-up about 2 years ago and the meds stopped working completely overnight. Even taking massive doses (upwards of 250/300mg), using multiple batches from different pharmacies, and trying tadalafil do nothing. I completely understand the mental/psychological component or erections are just as important as blood flow, but I am completely emotional removed from these events and still have not had any results remotely close to what I previously saw.

The strangest thing about all of this, and something I have found zero explanation for...I do not experience any side effects from the PED5i's, even at very high doses. Even if I was still suffering from the mental effects of the breakup, I should still see the systemic effects (face flushing, headache, congestion) from taking these meds, no? It is almost like the meds are not being absorbed.

Right now I am 35yo, in solid physical shape, fairly low stress levels, and eat predominately "clean"/healthy. I had a doppler ultrasound performed at a urologist office as well as testing for pelvic floor dysfunction with a pelvic floor specialized PT, both tests came back completely normal. My hormones are all along the mid-lower levels (free test 450-500), but I am about 2 weeks into TRT injections, hoping this will result in something. Has anyone hear of anything remotely resembling this or any thoughts/suggestions on what else I could try? If TRT doesn't result in something, I am likely looking at an implant.

Thanks,

I believe that PDE-5 inhibitors lose their efficacy over time but this opinion is controversial.

I used Cialis for 10+ years until it suddenly stopped working.

I changed to Zydena (udenafil) and everyhting is fine, now.

Implants work but they are a drastic solution. I suggest you try other PDE-5 inhibitors and oral treatments before you take the implant route.

You may want to give alprostadil or trimix injections a try. There's generally very little if any pain and good results. It may also help with psychogenic ED if that's your issue.

Very strange that PDE-5 inhibitors just quit working overnight.
Viagra used to give me severe migraines at high doses, so it does sound like it is not getting into your system. Are you on any meds that might block absorption? Have you tried other types of pills?
If you find nothing works, injections may be your next step. Beyond that you know where to come for info if you need to move into the final step. Good Luck.

Brilliant piece of advice, this is extremely important.

There are many drugs or substances that can block erections.

Antihistamines are an atomic bomb, they totally kill my libido and Cialis becomes useless.

Thank you. Even something as simple as an antacid can limit absorption.

After 5 years of satisfactory results using Viagra, I needed to progressively increase the dose until 200 mg became ineffictive. I than started on Trimix injections which worked well for three years until it also became ineffective. I now have to rely on a VED with tight constriction bands.

In my case, I believe the cause of my ED (diabetic neuropathy) had worsened over the years.

No I never used it daily, only as needed (20 mg). Lower doses of Cialis were completely useless in my case.
