That's great. Hope you got lots of information about the procedure here at FT. I didn't find FT until after my surgery and I went in pretty much blind. So much help here to gain knowledge about this curse called ED.

Good Luck!

Welcome to the longest month of your life. The month spent waiting for your procedure!

Fortunately, after i'd researched the implant subject and had my consultation with my doctor, the date was set for 3 weeks later, and that's what happened (Jan 4, 2023). But man, those days KNOWING my time was coming were days I'd rather not repeat anytime soon. My mind was a whirlwind of apprehension and I read a lot of Franktalk posts and began posting myself in the days preceding and afterwards. After all, I did not know a living soul who had experienced this and it felt like a lonely journey. I told 2 good friends and my brother (a doctor, who was surprisingly ignorant of the subject). One friend was certain that it was a catastrophe waiting to happen and tried his best to talk me out of it. By then though, I'd done my homework and was not stymied by his fear mongering. Starting on the day of the surgery, all 3 guys were keenly interested in my experience as each of them experiences ED to one extent or another. One friend is active in the swinger world and gets performance-related ED with unfamiliar partners (but not his wife). The other has been using trimix for years and has ended up in the emergency room twice for priapism after using trimix. My brother had his prostate removed a few years back.

I felt a bit like a pioneer in my personal social universe, and am happy to report 5 weeks post op that the surgery and recovery could not have gone better. The pain was MUCH less than I'd feared, using only 1 pain pail and a few Tylenol throughout the entire process thus far. I'm very optimistic. I start cycling in the coming week and have a trip planned to Thailand in week 10 to see my girlfriend there and properly launch the new bionic me. Can't wait!

Best wishes to you, and as always, there is always someone here on the forum to lend their experience and support as you embark on your own unique journey. Please keep us posted!

Oh, and you might consider starting a thread in the "implant" section. There you will find a bit more focus on the implant world.
