ED due to jelqing (?)

I recently got diagnosed with venous leakage by Doppler sonography after my ED had gotten worse over time. There are several reports also on this site here reporting ED after jelqing, which I started approximately 5 years ago; did it on and off. I started mainly because of erections gradually getting weaker, and although my penis is rather large, I'd have had nothing against gaining one or at least a half further inch.
So, overall, I can't tell if jelqing is the culprit with regards to my venous leakage. I'm already over 40 and I've had low testosterone until I finally got diagnosed at age 35. All these factors together might have contributed as well, but it feels like I did further harm with jelqing.
This drove me into a depressive episode. I never researched deeply enough as to whether jelqing can do any serious permanent harm, I think I just didn't want to know. What a fool I was.
So, what to do now.. I'm wondering whether the P-shot would be worth a try. I do use Cialis and Viagra, and erections are sometimes still strong enough for penetration.
Do you have any similar experience and what did you do?
I think all these PE forums promoting jelqing are a true problem because people are not really aware of the potential negative effects.
