Just wondering if I could get some real world experience from you guys on testosterone.

44 185lbs 6”4. I lost One testicle to cancer they removed it and then had chemo. So I have one nut.

Reason it got to this Is fatigue lack of concentration and can’t gain any noticeable muscle no matter how often I work out. Seem to keep fat in belly area. Libido isn’t very high either it has dropped over the past year or so. Not that interested which isn’t fun. Concentration could be better.

That being said erections are strong with no issues. Sensitivity is still great too. I can still get through workouts an exercise and do all my yard work etc but no gains really.

Not on any medications and last testosterone reading was 401 total. I can get more specifics if you need them lab wise but was really hoping we could just discuss overall feeling and is it worth it or is it just a honeymoon phase where you feel good and then it goes away? Does you lose penis sensitivity?

Thank you so much for the help.

I was diagnosed with low testosterone at age 53 when I developed short erection duration. I was also more fatigued that was usual. The urologist measured T around 250, which is low-normal, but not good enough for me. As an experiment, he gave me a shot of synthetic T in peanut oil; this T lasts for two weeks. It immediately brought me back to normal. I've been on TRT since (see my signature).

So you might want to try a peanut oil shot.

So you were below OP yet in normal range.
I wonder how much variation there is when comparing how a specific number effects different people? Also wonder how common the depression benefit is that you mention. OP has quite a list he is wondering about. I hope you and your Dr. can figure this out.

Does Simbarn still come to these forums? He's an expert on TRT.

I love how these doctors stick 'everyone' in their ranges. Last time I checked we're all individuals, I don't believe everyone can be clumped into 'their normal range'. What one person can thrive on another may feel lethargic and depressed. Try and remember, they're still 'practicing' medicine, they can be as ignorant as anyone else.

I started TRT recently at age 41. I can honestly say I was stuck in a rut working working out and hadn’t seen gains in strength in quite awhile or results.
In 3 months I’ve seen significant gains in strength and physique. I also have way more energy.
I’d say go for it.

Thank you so much for the replies. I really appreciate it.

Franklin if you don’t mind me asking how long have you been on it and how long did it take for you to start noticing a difference in energy?

Martin has it been pretty consistent for all the years you’ve been on it? That’s an awesome idea about the peanut oil injection I’ll definitely ask.

I really appreciate you all sharing ur experiences. It helps me a lot. It helps me to discuss it because it is a big change for me. I haven’t ever been on regular medication with the exception of antibiotics. Big change for me. I do want to feel better though and have energy to do more n help friends and family etc.

I have been on it for 3 months. I started to really notice a difference after a month. They say 4-6 weeks before you start seeing real changes and results. You can’t take this and eat like shit though. Maintain healthy lifestyle with it.

Diabetes induced ED and lower T level (290) so my urologist prescribed TRT. After six months, T level was over 800; however, no improvement of my ED; my testicles seemed to have shrunk; and a blood test at my endocrinologist revealed that my PSA had started to rise so he recommended I phase out of TRT.

Just suggesting you have yourself monitored on a regular basis.

TRT never did a thing for me. YMMV
