Shorter after Surgery?

Postby brian188 » Thu Oct 19, 2023 4:08 pm

No one told me that my penis would be shorter after surgery. After my operation, and with my first post surgery visit with my doctor, I mentioned to him that my penis was shorter than before. My limp dick has always been small, but now its so much shorter that the skin along my shaft completely covers it up. I can't even see it anymore when I look down. He examined me ( I think he was a bit surprised how short I was when he looked ) and said that it happens to some men. I told him I am now nearly and inch and a half shorter. I asked if I would get back to my original size and he said maybe.

And now using TriMix, I'm that much shorter when hard.

Question: Any other guys have the same problem? If so, is it temporary or are you still shorter than before?

I think in many cases, if you don't do regular VED therapy, it will stay where it's at now. With regular VED therapy you will regain most if not all that you have lost. Your tubing got shortened. You need that VED therapy to stretch it back out. I think my flaccid is still a little shorter much of the time but my injection erection seems pretty much what it originally was. I never measured pre RP so I can't actually quote stats.

Thanks. Yes, I use my Vacuum device several times a week. It's only been 6 months, but so far nothing has changed. But I'll keep pumping. Maybe I just need to give it more time.

I know it's a PITA but I's suggest more frequent use to get that recovery started.

Thanks for the response. You know, that's a good idea. I keep thinking about what they say ........ "use it or lose it". Yes sir ........... I'll start pumping more. Thanks for following up with me.

before my surgery I was told use it 2 times a day for an hour .. pump it up .. let it stay about 5 minutes ...deflate let it sit 5 minutes .. like exercise ... I was only able to do it about 6 weeks before my surgery not sure it helped but sure did not hurt ...

What surgery did you have, that you are now using Trimix?
Age: 68. Struggled with ED/PE for years.
Used Viagra for 10+ years with mixed success.
In May 2022 started using Trimix with very good results.
Feb 2023 developed PD
2023 still in treatment for PD, and still using Trimix with very good results

You should expect to be shorter after surgery, and it should have been explained to you prior to surgery.
Take a look at a normal man’s internal anatomy. Now realize that when the prostate is removed, the urethra has to be reattached to the bladder. To make that connection, the penis is pulled shorter. It is unavoidable, in my opinion.
I have easily lost at least one inch in my erections. It was disappointing, but expected. Thankfully, I’m still cancer free.

I think Lawman is correct. Its my understanding that the prostate is about 1 1/2" in diameter. So in that range is what you could lose.
The good news is that the urethra is stretchable. Dedicated ved use can stretch it to maybe your original length. This is different than ved use after getting an implant.
I have not had prostate cancer. My comments are what I've read & care to share. If I was to offer any advice? It would be to get really dedicated to using the ved.
As a side note. My wife has a girlfriend from work. Her boyfriend had his prostate removed. She confided to my wife that he was told to use viagra & to masturbate daily to stretch his penis. No idea how this has worked for him.
