Hey Guys, Noobie here!!
I am a 52 year old, fairly good shape guy. I have never had a great interest in sex much to my wife's chagrin. 6 months ago I began TRT and it changed my life.... I wanted sex and could have sex 4-5 times a week!! ( in the past it was like once a week) I felt like a man, my wife felt attractive... Then 2 months ago the boners stopped, I noticed I couldn't even get a hard on. I even tried looking at porn to see if that got me in the mood... nothing...Urologist says my testosterone levels are really high. 850 free range so no need to boost test. Question is I have heard that there is a elevation of estrogen when testosterone is elevated. But cant find any studies that support that. Has anyone seen anything like that??
I want to feel like a man again and want my wife to feel wanted!! Im starting trimix at the end of the month, this site has been informative and a snicker or two too!!
Thanks
Steve

Steve, it is very possible that your estrogen levels may be elevated. You must have been on a high dose of Testosterone to get levels in the 800 range. I am a compounding pharmacist and we do alot of hormone replacement therapy both injection and topical cream and gel. All of my docs monitor estrogen levels and prescribe anastrazole (an anti estrogen drug) along with T if estrogen is too high. Have your physician check it and it should get you back to where you were recently. Estrogen is actually made from the circulating testosterone in the body by an enzyme called aromatase. As men age, they tend to make increasing levels of estrogen with decreased production of testosterone. Estrogen can be made in the liver, muscle and brain, as well as the fat cells. In all hormones there must be a balance for everything to work correctly. Get your levels checked.Good luck Steve Keep me posted JC

Hi JC,
I take 2ml Test cip per week.
Asked my Doc to test for increase in Estrogen, and he says, No, they don't test for that. I told him I had read online about estrogen increasing due to increase in testosterone. He said there is a lot of internet babble about that but no studies prove that....In searching most of the info does come from Bodybuilding steroid groups. So really cant approach him with that as the Gospel.
Any help you could direct me to would be very much appreciated!!!
Thanks
Steve
