No libido at all. Need help.

I want to go back to the first time I ever had any issues. Was currently sexually active with a GF in college.

I noticed how odd it was that I started waking up with no morning erections all of a sudden.

I didn’t feel horny at all and I already had a feeling I wouldn’t be able to get hard. When I had private time that was confirmed.

I remember the sexual urges/need to ejaculate as a physical feeling. Same as when you have to pee, and the longer you hold off, the more unbearable the feeling was.

So I’d have the physical feeling, then when I’d see my girlfriend I’d pursue her, as the mental libido.

Not sure what to do anymore. Maybe look for pudendal nerve entrapment? See a psychiatrist? Try hormone replacement?

Libido is zilch, I might be able to muster up an erection, ejaculation volume/force is much lower, basically no orgasm. I finally have pelvic throbbing upon ejaculation which was lost for a long time.

Surely you've gotten your testosterone levels checked right?

Yes, testosterone is in the upper part of the range. Although SHBG is high, and reverse t3 is high.

I can tell something is off though. I have had pretty much no beard growth and if I dabble with test or proviron, it just makes new whiskers appear.

Vvs111: Get a second opinion from another endocrinologist, getting a full workup. Write down for him everything you're taking, including supplements.

Antihistimines like Benadryl can affect neurotransmitters; gabapentin (Neurontin) taken for aches and pains is a notorious orgasm inhibitor.

If no results, go to a medical school teaching hospital. The professors like challenges.

Actually my first endocrinologist happened to be a endocrinology professor. Zero help. One of the last times I saw him, he actually asked me how many people I’ve slept in the last year.

It’s like doctors think low libido is having sex but just enjoying it?

I was not on any medication for a long time. I took some doxycycline (antibiotic) for acne around the first time it happened, then nothing for a long time.

Hey Vvs111,

It sounds like you're going through a lot with this. If your testosterone levels are in the upper range, maybe it's worth checking out other hormones or even neurotransmitters, like what Martin suggested with antihistamines or gabapentin.

I’ve also heard of Gonasi being helpful for some guys, as Frank mentioned, so it might be worth giving it another shot. You could also explore hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or see if a specialist at a teaching hospital can give you fresh insight since they love a challenge.

Keep pushing for answers!

You mentioned your SHBG is high, is your free T in range?
