Mesh Sling Surgery

Hey everyone,

Has anyone had the mesh sling surgery?

I bit of background: I underwent robotic prostrate surgery in 2009. The surgery was unfortunately, not nerve sparing. After 3 years of kegels, and Trimix injections, I had a Coloplast Titan implant in 2012.

Jump to today, I still experience stress incontinence when working out, during sex, and when drinking alcohol.

I’d love to hear from you guys. Thanks!

Refer to my post in "members only" Controlling Incontinence With an IPP. I solved the incontinence problem with my Titan. I provided a link to a Korean study where several men who had had radical prostatectomies and who had both ED and incontinence were implanted with IPPs. The found that various amounts of inflation (30% to 90%) of the implants led to complete control in 72% of the cases. I decided to try it and started at 60%. I had total control, so I reduced the inflation to 50% and still had control, so I continued to reduce it by 10% daily until I reached the sweet spot of 30%. Below that I was insecure. Walking around with that chubby was not a problem since my size totally flaccid and at 30% inflation was identical. Life was good. Then I decided to try100% inflation at night while sleeping and discovered that I could go flaccid during the day with no leaking. I have done this for several months now and it has changed my life. Two other FT members have reported to me that it has worked for them as well. Try it. You have the equipment and nothing to lose. Your problem is not as severe as mine so I would expect success. Let me know how it goes.

Let me add that I think the pressure of the partially inflated implant acts like the sling without the invasive surgery.

You are welcome. I'm happy to help. Ask any questions. We need to get the word out. I don't know why urologists don't inform us about this solution. I had to discover it myself through my research.

Agree one hundred percent on this, I suffered from a terrible dribbling problem after urinating. I have been sleeping pumped since reading doctuth’s first post and it has now stopped. Excellent thread if you’re struggling with this also happy to answer questions.
