Can stem cells help with diabetes induced ED?

28M - uncontrolled diabetes has caused ED most likely. Tried up to 20mg Cialis and 60mg Viagra.

Went to a men's health clinic and the urologist suggests quadmix which is promising but you can only use it 3 times a week.

I got depressed and tried PRP shot and shockwave therapy. I feel it did something but the results didn't last more than a month.

What should I do? I keep reading about stem cell and implants.

These mens' health clinics are usually "one size fits all" and overpriced. You need a mens' sexual health urologist, not a general urologist since they are often not interested in ED since it sometimes has a psychological aspect. You will find these specialist specialists at large urology practices. And when you find this expert, have him or her refer you to an endocrinologist who will work with you both for your diabetes.

I'm no doctor and have no medical knowledge, but I've noticed acquaintances over the years get no results for joint pain with stem cell injections. Diabetes is different of course, and your endocrinologist will advise you.

It's hard to find a urologist that specializes in sexual health. One tip I have that helps in the search is to look for a practice that offers real focused shockwave. Whether you want the shockwave treatment or not, just the criterion that this practice has invested in a $60-100k device is an indicator that they are serious about ED. You don't say whether your shockwave was radial or focused but that is an extremely important differentiator. Radial shockwave is, cheap and at best, unproven and more likely plain quackery.

First things first, you have got to get your diabetes under control. Go find a endocrinologist and get the sugar under control, get your A1C down and start exercising and get the blood flow through your body, walk. You can do this now or really pay for it down the road, get your diabetes under control, that is your first step.

Wilsonmill provided excellent advice. I waited too long and now even 200 mg of Viagra provides only limited improvement. Tri mix (up to 80 units) worked only for a year or so. I subsequently went on an insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor which brought my A1c down to under 7; however, did little to improve my ED. Now a VED with tension bands is the on.y way I can achieve an erection.
