Hi What a pity you should have read on here all about TUNA, this shrinks your prostate, we should all look for options first before we have anything done with the prostate, if it goes wrong so does our sex life's, or its off for an implant, nothing like the real thing.

Good Luck

Thank you for your input. I am stuck with what was done. My 1st urologist didn't use lasers. Within a couple of years I got a bladder neck stricture. I found another urologist that used lasers. About 2 or 3 years ago he tried to remove the stricture but warned that it might not work. It didn't and I used a catheter daily since then. Last week he did more work to clean up the inside of my prostate and open the bladder neck. He said it was very urgent. I am still trying to understand this stuff and will ask better questions in a couple days. I found this web page and will try to understand. Bremerton is not Seattle when it comes to finding the better doctors. My son-in-law told me he and his circle of friends always go to Seattle. So far my choice of a local urologist seems good.

I found this web site and I am slowly learning about what is involved:

This this is new info I found today. I downloaded the pdf file and will see if it is useful to my urologist that has been treating me since after my TURP. It is an accurate description of my TURP and outcome.

Bladder neck contracture (BNC) is a well-described complication of the surgical treatment of benign and malignant prostate conditions.
