Ok, so a specialist finally looked at my urethra and said
yes their is some blockage at the front of it(he said a fancy word which I dont remember whats its called), I can ask him again.

I have to go in this week and get a small camera inserted inside urethra, he said only takes 15 seconds. Anyone had this done before?

I knew their was some blockage at the head, any treatments/surgery for this?

Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks.

John: I did not have a stricture or blockage after surgery however my Uro did a scope on me before surgery. He said it was to check to see if there was any bladder cancer. I must say it was not a pleasant experience but it was not painful either. It was very quick. Best of luck. I know others have had structures and had them cleared.

Best of Luck

John,

You may have already had the procedure. But a cystoscopy I had after I had blood in my urine last year was uncomfortable but not painful. The doc cleaned the glans, applied some anesthetic gel, and inserted the tube and looked around in the bladder for a minute or two. For the recent procedure, he just looked through an eyepiece on the scope so I couldn't see anything.

I had brachytherapy for prostate cancer some years ago and during the procedure they periodically slipped in a cystoscope that I could also see on a TV screen. Back then I had an epidural anesthesia and couldn't feel anything. .

I hope all goes well.
