Of course we have Internet and access to forums like this where men can talk discreetly so it seems ED is almost a common thing..then we also have porn out there which can cause or worsen ED in many ways..plus, we don't diet or exercise as much as we did 30 plus years ago..all of the different treatments avail also make me wonder..the last few hours I scrolled through fitness forums and was taken back at the large amount of young guys who gobble cialis or Viagra every time they have sex even thouhh I know this doesn't mean they have ED just that they want to be a king in the bedroom lol
Is ED much more common today than it was in the 70s?

This reminds me of the time I asked my dentist why evolution hasn't made our teeth better. He said evolution doesn't work that quickly. Medical advances have kept us alive longer than nature would have on its own. Life expectancy has increased 30 years in the last century and men are outliving their potency. Those medical advances have come to our rescue and we can deal with ED now through oral and injected drugs or surgical implants. And with social media, we talk about it.
That said, my results with Trimix give me far better erections than I EVER had when I was young. Did I have a mild form of ED back then? I didn't think so. I never discussed the quality of my erection at that time because I didn't know they could be better. I had a reasonably good sex life with my spouse, even though there were occasional failures or erections that weren't the best. I had nothing to compare my erections to so I didn't complain to anyone. Were all men feeling like I was? We will never know because those things weren't discussed; no anonymous social media methods back then as there are today.
Today's young women have been exposed to much more information about penises than women of our generation. There are commericals about erections every 5 minutes during a sporting event. Both sexes are sending nude photos to each other. Young men may feel inadequate if their penises don't act like those on the internet, available 24/7 on their cellphones. If I were young today, I might want to get my hands on Cialis too.

Agree with everything above guys. I'd like to add that today young men are exposed to lot more chronic stress than ever. A few decades ago you just needed some basic communication and professional skills and you were good in your small community. Now you are compared to super human athletes and models. You have to go to 20 plus years of stressful and expensive education to have a chance for success.
Young boys as early as 10 start watching porn and by the time they get a girl they are desensitized by movies and excessive masturbation. No magic, no mystery.
Environmental factors also play a role. Pollution of female hormone like chemicals are everywhere and proven to lower testosterone and sperm levels in men.
These are the things I can think of but I'm sure others will Chaim in.

We are exposed to a lot more chemicals today than ever before, with varying degrees of toxicity. Even those that are non-toxic can affect our metabolites , enzymes, hormones, etc.
Also, it is well known that (in women) percent body fat is essential for the proper regulation of certain hormones. Would that be any less true for men?

Another possible factor - ED could be similar to cancer, in the sense that cancer was just as prevalent years ago as it is now, but it was seldom talked about. ED was likely also prevalent, but rarely if ever discussed in public. Times and medical science change, and so do public opinions.

Interesting..granted when growing up I never even thought to compare my erections with another guys because well, why would I ? After watching porn online and joining certain fetishIs sites, I was struck how absolute erect some guys penises were..now, even in my youth I never had erections that were like steel rods pointing straight out! Maybe a few times I had erections like these but rare..fast forward in my 20s-30s and yeah my erections are not even close lol..then again, these guys could be using injections and other cocktails beforehand..
I do know that I never horny or able enough to have sex for hours like many guys seem to..im in good shape but libido is nothing like that..
I do think mens testosterone levels have decreased compared to what they were in the 70s..that is a fact and many younger guys are jumping on testosterone replacement therapy..

Good point, just imagine having ED in the 40s and 50s!!! I can't imagine what doctors used to treat it with lol..it would be painfully depressing to have it back then as well ugh..

nothing. it would be diagnosed as entirely psychological. It's interesting and disheartening to read the perception on ED of the generations of who is now in their 50/60/70's. So different from mine, being 30 and just suffering from this since 2 years ago suddenly.

I can only imagine being 30 and having ED! I'm of the belief it's more of a health life style issue for a lot of us. Not in your case though. I'm sure you're going to heal from the fracture and you will be good to go. I was a drinker from 15 to 33. i did drink to excess. I'm guessing a fast food diet didn't help either. My Ed issues didn't start until i was in my 50's. I just think the poor diet had something to do with it. Remarkably I do not have HBP and in fairly good health for 61.
