Discoloration While Pumping

Postby paperboy48 » Mon Jul 23, 2012 1:21 pm

I was pumping last night and noticed some discoloration for about 5 seconds when I first took my member out of the cyilnder.

I am new to pumping. Is this something that is normal? I read somewhere if you see discoloration, to stop using the pump for a while.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

I have been pumping fork several years and regularly encounter discoloration. Five seconds should not be an issue. If you pump too long or at a high vacuum (over 5 in. Hg if you havea gauge) you will experience some discoloration. If the discoloration dissipates in a matter of minutes, it is probably due to minor blood starvation in the surface tissue and is not an issue. If it lasts for several hours before it dissipates, it is probably caused by very minor breakage in the capillaries and you should probably refrain from pumping for 12 to 48 hours, to allow the capillaries to heal.

If you pump too long or hard (20 plus minutes at over 5" hg) you can bruise the tissues and the discoloration may last for several days. Still usually not a major issue but you should refrain from pumping and allow about a weak to allow the damaged tissue to heal.

Please pay attention to what your penis is really feeling when you are using the pump. A 'stretch' feeling is normal. It should never, ever, ever sting or hurt.
Please pump up in segments...letting the air out each time. Pump a little..Hold it....let it out. Pump more...hold it...let it out...etc. Keep going until you hold it as full as your penis comfortable can for 2-3 minutes. As you feel the stretch lessen as your penis fills with blood, give it another pump to keep the blood coming in.
Be sure to use this process for therapy for a two weeks at least before attempting using the rings for sex.

Even without a gauge, you can pump safely simply by paying attention to your body.

Also, discoloration can mean million things. what do you mean by that? Was it black? blue? purple? red? spotted? Your penis head will be very dark and purple and so will most of your shaft. It is only 17% arterial blood entering the penis. Enough to nourish it, but not enough to make it its old time red color.
That discoloration is normal. Spots or dots are bad. Don't pump so hard

I was hoping for a fast track and have pumped to high pressure and for long time.
I get dot’s on my penis, especially on the glans. Hurt also. I had to stop for two weeks to let things back to normal.

Just follow Paul advice and will be OK

M.

I agree with Paul in that we must listen to our body. I have been pumping for more than 2 years and still carefully do a pump/release each time. The effects of pumping and very good; but we need to approach those outcomes with an understanding that we can also damage a very good friend. . . .

I also have noticed discoloration as you describe. That don't seem to bother him and other guys have made the same observations. I am uncut so that may contribute to the issue for me. Probably my shaft is now slightly darker than he use to be but I'm not worried about it. As long as it doesn't hurt and you are careful and satisfied with your results, it is probably fine to continue. Remember, if you have real issues please talk with your doc and ask his/her opinion.

Over time you should be able to pump to a full hard that is a nice stretch and hold for a few before you move on to other things. Recommend you go slow, but do go as it helps in any number of ways.

Have fun!!
