Pumping to retain length

I have been of the opinion that daily pumping will maintain penis length. I know that nocturnal erections are like penis exercise. I was watching a video on implnts and the Uro said that we loose length from the time we become impotent. My question is, does pumping daily prevent the loss of penis length?

My experience (over 4 years of dedicated pumping) is that it has maintained length. And there is some bonus extra girth -- which is always nice.

The measurable results that you can watch (without any bias using measuring tapes or rulers ) is to pump to max in the tube and then mark the max by scratching the tube at that length and see where you go from there over time.

I increased pumped length about 1/2" during first 6 months or so of pumping (and had to buy a longer tube for Encore pump). So that is not too shabby. Hard to say if that translated to extra Erect Length (without pump) but it certainly helps to have extra stretched length to work with.

The general consensus (on Penile Enhancement forums) is that pumping won't really give you extra length but is good for maintaining it and gives extra girthing.

Also when you get around to either an implant or shots, having used a pump regularly will get you the max benefits from either of those (I only do shots). With shots having your member already used to fully (and beyond fully) stretching with a pump might give you less trouble with any initial achiness of a rock hard Trimix erection when you first start shots.

Just want to add to what Jim has already discussed that you can use a strip of adhesive tape to mark your starting length. I used adhesive tape about four years ago on my first cylinder and it is still stuck on. Easy to see; however, a scratch mark is also a good idea in the event the tape comes off.

I've just started pumping, had a radical prostatectomy a little over a year ago. I'm using a medical grade lever pump which seems to work pretty good. I am anxious to use it for intercourse but noticed that while it gives me a large girth, my length has lost about two inches. Will continued practice help me regain my previous length or am I stuck with this stubby chubby?

That could be pretty discouraging if that 2" shortfall does not disappear after a while.

How vigorously are you pumping up? Does it ache a little at max pump? A little ache is to be expected, especially if you never pumped before. Often also you get to an ache point and you can't stand going any further and it seems to be pretty hard (but not max long) and then release vacuum a little and pump more and after a few of those cycles you are able to pump thru that point and things keep expanding and going UP...

Even after 4 years I still get a little ache at max pumped but I can get there quickly. But max pumped for me is about an inch MORE than I could get from a regular (trimix) erection. Cannot tell you what that translates to as far as lbs of vacuum tho .. my Encore does not have a gauge, but with the electric motor/pump it is self limiting at about the right vacuum spot to get the max length and girth possible without danger of popping anything.
