pumping protocol?

Postby secondchance » Tue Aug 20, 2024 9:30 am

Just got my pumping accessories yesterday. I'm wondering about the protocol i've heard here many times. Yesterday I basically slowly pumped all the way to 5hg and held it there for 10 to 15 minutes. I read here it's best to pump deflate, pump deflate, pump deflate for 15 to 20 minutes. So my question is, why the pump deflate vs pump all the way and hold for 15 minutes?

When i was using a VED was told to pump ... hold 5 minutes deflate .. wait 5 minutes pump again.
I was told to try to do it for an hour each time 2 times a day if possible. Every dr. I'm sure has his own opinion on what to do in regards to using a VED.

Depends on why you are pumping.
Here are a few things I can think of and the protocol for each reason will vary at least somewhat.

For size?
Penile Rehabilitation?
Keeping blood flow when lacking erections?
ED?
Preparation for Trimix?
To impress yourself and your friends with your pumped size?
Because you can?
Other?
Age: 68. Struggled with ED/PE for years.
Used Viagra for 10+ years with mixed success.
In May 2022 started using Trimix with very good results.
Feb 2023 developed PD
2023 still in treatment for PD, and still using Trimix with very good results

How about for ED when you pump up before applying the ring?

In that case, you may need to experiment.

I find that it takes several minutes to obtain your full size. After that, pumping more, or pumping and releasing (repeat) doesn't gain much.
Pumping and holding, as well as pump, deflating, and pump, are more suited for therapy.

I highly suggest not practicing getting things right with a new partner. Learning to get the best results with a (new) partner can be quite frustrating. Plus most women seem to take your getting or not getting an erection very personally.

Hopefully, others who use VED to gain an erection will give you more practical advice.

I generally use the VED ahead of time to get the blood flowing in and out. I don't have a pressure gauge but pump up slowly until I feel a little pressure/discomfort and then release a little pressure. Cycle a few minutes of vacuum and then release for a minute and repeat for about a half hour. When ready for PIV I lubricate very well, pump up again to the point of a little discomfort, release a little bit of pressure and move the rings off the tube and onto me. When I'm fully pumped my wife feels it's really a little too rigid and feels unnatural - wants a slight amount of flexibility.

I started my VED and traction therapy months before my surgery.
I know it helped me recover size taken by atrophy.

I worked my way up to 200mm according to my pressure gauge. I would venture to 10inches of pressure BRIEFLY.
More pressure or more time in my experience leads to more edema.
VED usage without a gauge is insane.

I hope my post in members only area helps.

In that post is a link to my priapism disaster.
That expedited my surgery.
Initially I was planning implant in January 2025 to give me time to lose more weight and recover or possibly gain more size.
Atrophy was a huge mental blow to my mental state.
