Did a pump change your mind about getting an implant?
I'm thinking of getting an implant but before I do I want to try out a pump. That said, has anyone tried a pump before getting an implant then decided VED was good enough and didn't want an implant anymore?

I think most men would be dissatisfied with using the pump as an erection aid long-term. The erection produced stops at the constriction ring, so there's kind of a "hinge" at that point and it doesn't have any true rigidity. You can put it in, but it will likely slip out or be hard to thrust with.
Also, VEDs come with long term side effects. it can cause pain, petechiae (small red pinpoints from burst capillaries), and long term it can reduce sensitivity.
Having used both extensively, I would say the implant is far superior for ED, though if the ED is mild the VED can be great to assist, and it's good for maintaining length and girth due to atrophy.

Thank you so much fr your reply, brother. Fyi, pills aren't consistent and injections are too risky and painful for me. But I can get morning wood but not always and they last a few minutes before going flaccid. That said, do you think I should still go for an implant?

That's a personal decision only you can make. You just have to weigh whether you can live happily without what the implant provides. Most would tell you to exhaust all possibilities first since the implant is a one-way ticket. But many skip injections and are very happy with the implant. You also have to assess how you'd feel if you have a bad outcome or complications. I can tell you from experience having things go wrong, even slightly, is very stressful.
Good luck and make the best choice for *you*.
