So I had trouble with the bathmate I ordered on ebay (see other post) and decided to try a LeLuv pump.
All I can say is WOW!
I have only used it once so far in a trial run when I got it yesterday but man that thing generates suction.
I have never used a pump before (other than my defective/counterfeit bathmate - see other post) and right away I see that I will need to be careful with this thing.
Couple of questions for you experienced pumpers:
1.
What is the brass screw knob underneath for? I have not turned it. Do not want to break anything.
2. What is a good suction as far as the gauge goes? Starts at -0 and goes up in increments of -5. What would be safe? I just don't want to go to far once I get used to it.
Note for others that may be considering ordering one. I ordered mine with the silicone sleeve thing that looks like a pussy (kinda like a cut off end of a fleshlight) that goes on the entrance of the tube. I tried it with and without and I have to say that the sleeve is an absolute must. Without it the suction was pulling the skin from my body, around the base of my penis into the tube (with a 2.25" diameter tube). With the sleeve on it worked awesome.
One last question, is there any advantage to the hydro pumps over just a regular air pump. I may still get one of the bathmate units (direct from the manufacture) if there is some advantage.
Oh one last thing I liked about the LeLuv pump is after pumping up I disconnected the gauge and tube using the quick couple and the tube held suction and sat there comfortably. Very happy (so far) but again I have only used it once.

P.S. - Hats off to LeLuv customer support. There was a slight order issue I had when ordering and they rectified it quickly and shipped to me and I got it in like 3 days. Kudos.

I do not have the same brand or type of pump
Mine has a valve that by pressing it in to relieve the vacume and tube from penis.
That maybe a valve. Yours looks like maybe you have to turn it because the groves.
I would look to see if you see a thread or 2 at where it goes in.
Based on what I have been told.
As far as the preasure, sounds like 5lbs is the max. So I have been told.
Guy who I bought mine from told me 6lbs because was max. I have Ed for several years
Think 5 would be safer.

Thanks for the info. I used it this morning (just after I posted) for 15 minutes at -5lbs and that worked out well. No pain but I could really feel the pump.
Seems like my erection quality is returning already. May just be post pump improvement. We'll see. But damn it feels good to feel some hardness there that responds to flexing of the associated muscles (is the the perineum?). Anyway I am pleased so far. Thanks again for the info.

My pump also uses a pin which when pushed releases the vacuum. Accordingly, the screw when moved may accomplish the same thing.
If the outside meter measures lbs of Mercury per square inch (hg), then you should pump up to 5 hg and not exceed 5 hg for more than a minute or two. As you pump, you should check the gauge periodically to see if you need to pump out a little more air because as your dick expands over time, it displaces the air and reduces the vacuum.
Start pumping for ten minutes at 5 hg and increase by minute every few days until you reach 20 minutes. At that point you cand reduce the vacuum, to 4 hg and slowly work your way up to 45 minutes.
If you exceed 5 hg or 20 minutes you will incur excess edema and possible bruising. Over 45 minutes at 4 hg will result in the same issues
The advantages of Pulse Pumping
There are two basic ways to pump your penis - static or dynamic pumping.
Static pumping involves pumping up to a specific vacuum level and leaving it there for the duration of the session. The most recommended vacuum level is between 4 and 5 inches of mercury (hg). The recommended maximum duration of a session to avoid excess edema is 20 minutes for an experienced pumper. During the session, the vacuum causes excess blood to flow into the penile chambers and, to a lesser extent, causes lymph fluid and interstitial fluid to slowly build up around the individual cells of the penis tissue known as edema. Edema is a natural reaction to the differential in internal and external pressure caused by the vacuum and is not harmful unless the build up becomes excessive. Excess edema generates puffiness and in extreme cases, bruising.bruising and possibly blisters.
As these fluids build up, the overall volume of the penis increases. As the size of the penis expands it displaces the air inside the vacuum cylinder thus causing the vacuum level to decrease. Accordingly, additional air needs to be pumped out occasionally in order to maintain the vacuum at the desired level (ex, 5 hg).
Dynamic pumping, otherwise known as pulse pumping, involves the same theory as static pumping; however, instead of leaving the vacuum at a constant level throughout the session, it involves periodically changing from a high level (ex 5 hg) to a low level (ex 2 hg). I personally recommend pumping up to 5 hg for five minutes and then lowering the vacuum to 2 hg to thirty seconds. The cycle should be repeated two more time during the session.
One of the benefits pulse pumping has over dynamic pumping is that it generates more penile engorgement than static pumping over the same time frame.

In an experiment conducted by another PE web site A control pumper quickly pumped up to 5 hg and maintained the vacuum level at 5 hg for the entire session.
The pulse pumper slowly increased the vacuum to 5 hg and left it there for five minutes and then reduced to 1 hg for thirty seconds before returning to 5 hg for another five minutes and repeated the process throughout the session.
Using precisely measured water in both cylinders the results showed that the pulse pumper had a 33% greater increase in volume.
This fluid flow and gain process that creates enlargement is restricted by the pumping operation itself, in these three ways:
As swelling takes place, tissues are engorged- including those of the passageways bringing fluid in, actually reducing the diameters of those passageways.
There is a pinching pressure attempting to close these passageways right at the point where the cylinder entry meets your body. The passageways are part of the tissue being compressed by the sealing surface of the tube.
It is further complicated by another easily demonstrated process, that of "vacuum collapse". Take a soft tube, and connect it to your vac pump. With an open end, it will suck indefinitely. Now squeeze the tube down in the middle. As the opening gets narrower, two things happen. One, the flow through the restriction reduces- and two, the vac level on the restricted portion increases. There comes a point where the internal vacuum itself pulls the tube closed- and all flow stops.
All of these conditions combine to either restrict or stop the process of enlargement. The longer the condition lasts, the tighter the restriction can get- and thereby further reducing the level of effectiveness, ultimately ending effective time altogether. The issue is one of making all the time in the pump effective time, and maximizing the level of that effectiveness.
Another important aspect of pulse pumping is that it mimics the natural process your penis goes through every night that we refer to as night wood. Accordingly, pulse pumping has a healthy aspect to it that static pumping lacks. In this connection it most likely will benefit those suffering from low EQ or ED.

I think that 5 lbs for 15 minutes that I did the first day was a bit much. Going to back off to 4 lbs for 10 mins every other day until my penis becomes accustomed to pumping and then I will follow your advice on pulse pumping.

Both are measures of fluid pressure. In this case, the fluid is air and the pressure is negative pressure (specifically, how much the air pressure inside your cylinder is lower than the air pressure outside your cylinder). Normal atmospheric pressure is 14.7 psi or 29.9 inches of mercury (Hg) If your gauge measure in centimeters of mercury (cm of Hg) that would be about 75 cm of Hg (2.54 cm per inch)
