Do the little bumps and the dimple actually DO anything? It seems to me that when the band is stretched, they flatten out and could hardly have any effect.
I have only used one VED system and only once for coitus (pumping mainly for pre-op conditioning). The little bumps that supposedly help constrict outflow of erectile blood seem to flatten out considerably when the band is stretched. The little dimple that supposedly allows ejaculation out the urethra likewise seems to flatten out.
Do they REALLY have any effect, or are they just an affectation?

Re: Constriction Band
Based on my experience, they do indeed flatten out; however, the u-snapped section which goes over the urethra is slightly less constricted than the rest of the band and, accordingly, allows some of the ejaculate to pass through if you try hard enough which would not happen if it were not there. Although it doesn't appear as such, I believe the little nubs which appear to flatten out, actually apply more pressure than the rest of the band.o
