Do people really have sex with the VED?
Looking for shared experiences here. I'm debating whether or not to try and have sex with this thing.... I think my girlfriend would be ok with it since the pills are not working that well.... But I think - WOW - do people really have sex with this? It sort of hurts, my cock is blue, cold, and giant. It seems kinda crazy... Almost a comedy. Maybe not so bad with the lights low and a warm cloth to warm it up.... So, I'm just wondering if others really have sex with this or they just use it for rehab??? Or if folks just thought it wasn't worth it because of the issues surrounding its use. Any stories will be appreciated. Encouragement is also welcome. Thanks!
60 years old. Pills haven't really worked. Switched to vacuum pump. Haven't tried intercourse yet.
Re: Do people really have sex with the VED?
A couple of guys here swear by it, but my wife and I hated it. As you say, it's uncomfortable, clumsy, and as far as you could possibly get from spontaneous. My wife said it feels like a hot dog cold from the fridge, and I found that it wouldn't stay pumped long enough to be any good. We decided that no sex at all was better than using the VED (mine was an Osbon, so it was top quality, but I'd say it's fine for therapy but not for intercourse).
Dave, 80, Maryland - Implant (Titan) 2008 by Dr. Andrew Kramer (failed Sept 2020) - never used due to a stroke that, among other things, ended my sex life.

Re: Do people really have sex with the VED?
I've been using it for sex for 13 years. Started when I was 30 and my girlfriend was in her mid 20s. Literally, it gave me my sex life back and my sanity back.
No, its not spontaneous, but as you get good at it you can do it much quicker than when you start. We incorporate into foreplay. Recommend you stimulate her before using it.
The VED give you a bigger than normal erection and that is a big plus IMHO. Personally, I've found the woman much more enjoys sex with this than any of the pitiful erections the pills gave me.
Sounds like you need to experiment with different rings. Suggest you use two rings instead of one. Practice by yourself many times before even using it for sex.

OK, the short answer is Yes. It's not an ideal solution but it is a solution.
But have you tried the less drastic alternative of using pills with a milder constriction ring or novelty cock ring? You might be an ideal candidate for that option as you say the pills don't work that well. If the pills work somewhat, adding a cock ring to the pills, without the VED, might be just the ticket for you, at least for awhile.
For use without the VED I'm not suggesting that you use the tight medical constriction rings that are designed for use with the VED. Besides, IMHO, it sounds like the one you're using is too darn tight even for VED use. If it hurts right off the bat it's too tight in my book.
But anyhow, I'm suggesting a less constrictive ring that's more comfortable that just assists the pills, like some of the novelty sex shop rings. Finding the right rings that work for you is a bit of a crap shoot as every dick is different and there's a bazillion novelty rings on the market. Fortunately most aren't very expensive so money spent on the wrong rings isn't too big of a loss. Bear in mind that some of the novelty rings are just that, useless novelties. I'm sorry I can't give reviews on a bunch of rings. There's just too many.
I use the Lyps brand three ring set bought off Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Erection-Enhancing-Seamless-Silicone-Lyps/dp/B01DIZ8WCQ. But like I said, you'll have to find which ones work for you. Others have suggested velcro wire ties. I tried the velcro ties (from Lowes) but the edges felt too rough for me but otherwise they would work well and be easily adjustable and removable so they might be worth a try. The price is right. Others have suggested an adjustable ring that snaps together. I don't have a link for those.
Due to my having had a prostatectomy I require more radical solutions but if pills were "not working that well", as in working somewhat, I'd sure give the pills and novelty cock ring a shot. I still use the rings as they allow me to use less injection meds, but without the meds it isn't happening.
Back to the original question. yes, we have successfully had sex using just the VED and the appropriate medical grade rings. You do have to be fairly quick due to the time constraints of how long you can leave those tight rings on. I have worn the ring for awhile, taken it off to let blood flow for a while (you should be able to think of stuff to do for a few) and then pumping it back up for a finish. I don't know the medical advisability of doing that.
Good luck.

Re: Do people really have sex with the VED?
I have been using a VED off and on for about seven years. However, now that pills and injections have become ineffective, the VED and Osbon tension rings are the only way I am able to have sex.
I usually have a great erection for the first ten minutes, but then I start to loose sensitivity and after 20 minutes I have to remove it because of the discomfort and total lack of sensitivity. Some times I remove it after 10 or 15 minutes while I perform oral and then slide it back on to finish the act.

I haven't keep count of how long we take before she finishes, but did last time. Took a little over 8 minutes after I entered. Maybe that's why I have a relatively small amount of discomfort? She uses her vibrator while I am taking the time to pump to a firm erection. She uses it during sex and maybe that's why we have few if any marathon sessions?
When I have had a ring on for 15 minutes I would do as you and start over. Usually after inserting her butt plug into her. That always makes things go much faster for her. I have 2 rules developed during our 50 years together. 1. If she asks if I want to have sex, NEVER say no. and 2. She comes 1st

I am one of those who cannot take medications because of heart problems. The vacuum pump has been a lifesaver. But like anything else, it takes practice and experimentation to find the right combination of vacuum, rings, time on, time off, preferred lube, etc. Do some searching around this site, where guys have shared their experiences, and make a list of what might or might not work for you. I would be glad to share my experiences.

Agree! It's not something most of us could pick up and use straight out of the box.

Re: Do people really have sex with the VED?
Been using for over year since having prostate removed, its a pain in the ass our sex dropped off from 3 times a week to maybe 2 times in a month. I just now decided on injections got my first one last week and boy was I happy. Just a quick poke now we can have foreplay and in 5 min rock hard like I was in my 20' no more hurrying up cause my cock is getting cold, and with my trimix I'm good for 1.5 hours.
