If you can't use commen sense I don't know what to say to you. I guess you need to live in a world closely controlled by agncies telling you exactly how and when to do everything. I've gone overboard and given myself some edema. I knew I was pushing it. Shame on me! But yeah, I believe if you follow recomendations you'll be fine.

I have no negativity about having a gauge. As long as it doesn' make the VED more cumbersom it could prove useful. Get one if you want. I've no doubt I could put one on my pump. The cylinder is fairly thick. I might could just drill and tap it and screw in on with a hick rubber washer. Or if necessary put a nut on both sides along with a thicker contoured washer on both sides made from rubber stoppers. Several fairly easy and cheap ways to do it, but why bother.
R.R.P 2011 Mayo Jacksonville, Dr. M. Wehle. Not nerve sparing. C in margins. Radiation 2023, V.E.D, Viagra and PGE-1 (80mcg/ml) injections @ 8 - 14 units. Originally Edex20, then compounded PGE due to cost. Inject. 12 yrs. It works. Treasure coast of FL.
