Interested to know why the advice is never to use a vacuum pump after injecting.
What's the science behind this?

How soon is it safe to use a pump after an injection?

I believe the biggest risk is bleeding from the injection site and bruising.

Dr. Brock's pt.'s are encouraged to use it. He has written several papers on it. Pump uo the implant and the VED and hold 5 min.

Don't pump after injecting. I believe it's against medical advice. Knowing better I tried it ONCE! Yes, the vacuum will pull blood through that tiny hole causing a hematoma and even draw blood all of the way through the skin.

Don't do it!

I recently saw a new urologist because of failing injections and he suggested pumping with injections. We've tried once and I was too big for her comfort.

You pumped after injecting? And you didn't have any issues?

When injections started to loose their effectiveness, I pumped a number of times after a week response from an injection with My VED without any major issues. I believe that on one occasion I did withdraw a small amount of blood from the injection site.

OK, then I guess I stand corrected. My experience kinda scared me and thus my opinion. Not the first or last time I've been wrong.

Sorry Bldoink, I didn't see your reply before. No, there wasn't any bleeding or anything else. But next I will try just a band and see if that helps.

I have read a blog on another forum where the poster said that he pumps before an injection. He advised not to pump after the injection and to go "low and slow" with the pressure and time.

But, from what I've read on FT, injections may not be as effective after pumping.
