I would run that one past your doctor, or at least AMS or Coloplast.

I am not sure how soon the pump has to be used post operation but when I was to get the pump prescription, the pharmacists told me that this is a "must have" device before and after the surgery to restore penile tissues.

It used to be that the implant makers and doctors sternly warned against using a vacuum therapy pump after implant surgery. As it happens, there are now studies going on that show there can be some benefit. BUT we don't know what the pumping protocol is, what the goal is, or even how they are pumping. So, do ask your doctor. Call your implant maker.
Can I ask why you want to use the VED with your implant?
